Guys This all goes back to when the original Green Box Flasher hit the market. Everyone wanted to ban it because it was going to ruin bass fishing these guys were going to catch and kill all the bass. Guess what all of this was based on not having knowledge before speaking. Guess what if you want to fish the shoreline and spot cast do it, we know it works and has been for years this is just another tool for the toolbox so buy it if want. If you don't want to buy it don't hey look around not all bass boats have 250HP motors and we still catch fish.

Great podcast!! So much to think about!!

I will like to talk about the schedules. I like what the NPFL has done with their schedule. I also would love to see the professional level events move to places that aren’t normally on the schedule. But that will never happen. I either heard on a podcast or read an article stating that each community has to pony up at least 50,000 to BASS to host an event. Most communities aren’t set up for large tournament crowds or weigh ins. As for my opinion on FFS, I don’t have it and don’t plan on getting it. I don’t want to see it banned because that will open up a Pandora’s box. I love the shows.

Great conversation as always. Like Hank I am an older guy but still connected with technology and totally agree that FFS is not an enemy of bass fishing all the other factors out there added together are what we need to focus on.

Size limit for a tournament is set by the tournament. My club is 14 inches minimum. Riding on the front of the boat, good rule change!

How many small clubs will ever go to CPR or weigh-release? I don't see it happening

We have to learn from the past. We can't say new technology is bad because everything we use now was new at some point. We just have to learn to adapt to it's use!

I think with this one in Roanoke, we have enough in Virginia. That gives an area that needed it one. There are plenty of small ones that serve as flea market sales. I plan to attend Roanoke. Hoping they can attract some good vendors!!

I definitely disagree with that study. 1st their just asking anglers what they caught & just going off their word, people could say whatever? But only .82% additional fish caught over fishing without it?. If that was true then FFS would not be dominating the tournaments. Also I've had it on my kayak about a year n half now. It has absolutely helped me find & catch a lot of fish I otherwise wouldn't had known was their or caught. It's put way way more than .82% more fish in my net!!!! I don't catch everything I see either. I see way more fish I can't catch than I see that I do catch but it's absolutely upped my catch rate significantly!

Sad to say a whole division bfl depends on a black box 😢

The kayak world is going off the rails too. They have 4 units, ffs etc.its getting crazy with them too.

Someone will always try to win by whatever means they can. It's sad that the desire to win or keep winning is higher than the morals to do what is right. And pushing the gray areas is going to always happen.
