    Ay, la manera de perder ese peón esa muy común. Creo que debió meter a su rey entre sus peones y abriste paso con la torre. Peligroso por un posible mate, pero necesitaba avanzarlos.

      These endgames r usually tricky and usually a bit drawish 2 vs 3 pawn if one pawn got exchanged Magnus end up with one pawn and keymer will sac his knight for the pawn so that's why the move is kind of brilliant and deep

    axb1 was illegal because he didn‘t promote, he left the pawn on the board and pressed the clock. That isn‘t a legal chess position as the pawn was on the 1st rank

    • @kdayahya
      @kdayahya 23 дня назад

      You should be more careful before saying something like this. You can at least watch it again before writing. Because kramnik just takes it back before Hikaru could even press the clock. So we don't know if he was going to promote or press the clock since kramnik just made his move before it was his turn

    • @Pascal-md9os
      @Pascal-md9os 17 дней назад

      @@kdayahyayour answer doesnt make sense. Doesnt matter how fast kramnik responded, hikaru would have to pick up a piece like queen, knight etc. Before making the move. Therefore it is technically an illegal position, but maybe there were specific regulations in this tournament, that we dont know but we do know that pawns on 1st or 8th rank are illegal.

    • @golendorfjules1838
      @golendorfjules1838 8 дней назад

      @@Pascal-md9osthe answer make a lot of sense because it is kramnik who did not let him finish his move, and that is illegal as well. the position is such that Hikaru did not complain because not recapturing the promoted piece, regardless of which piece it is, would be losing for kramnik. nakamura understands that and did not complain.

      @Chesshomie24 Thinking that luck is not involved in ANY multi-game tournament shows you've never competed before. He wouldn't even have been there if not for Magnus being Magnus and thumbing his nose to FIDE. He just had a very fortunate, LUCKY, run.

    • @drsands2417

      @@basedbear1605I’d disagree, some people play good some days and bad others. Also I’m not saying that I disagree that some games aren’t lucky (in the fact that the opponent messes up) but you simply saying he got lucky shows how little you value chess and the work people put into it. Stop trying to devalue his work. Man worked for the title. Just because he loses some more games after doesn’t mean he’s bad. No one wins on luck alone in this game. Not at this level.

    • @basedbear1605
      @basedbear1605 23 дня назад

      @@drsands2417 You can disagree with facts all you want. Plain and simple truth is he was lucky as Hell to even be there because Magnus gave up his rightful spot. That was LUCK, plain and simple. He did not deserve to be there, as it should have been Ian and Magnus. Every tournament of every game or sport requires luck to win. Ding was super lucky in the last game that Ian made some really bad moves. Watch analysis of the match, Ian was favored heavily to win until the end where he messed up. Stating the truth, that someone was lucky, doesn't diminish his skill. He is a top 10 player in the world, and WAS consistently top 5 for years. His ability is not questionable. However, denying he was lucky to even be there is ludicrous.

    • @drsands2417
      @drsands2417 23 дня назад

      @@basedbear1605I said I don’t disagree that luck has nothing to do with it…. Also I see you edited your first response to have a Magnus Carlson subject so you could relate to it in your response to me…. Anyways I was just stating that I it looked to me as if you didn’t respect the work that he put into it by simply calling him “lucky”. But now however you have given context to what EXACTLY you meant by that. I think we can both agree that he may have gotten lucky with some of the last games, I’m just saying that I can still respect his title and work even if your saying it’s luck (heck as you said it yourself the game does have some luck [mainly the opportunity of opponents screwing up]). In conclusion, thanks for clarifying what you meant by “lucky”. Just want to ask a question I guess, do you agree that he is still very skilled and even tho he may have gotten that title a little luckier then others that he still deserves it? Or no?
