Great presentation - I appreciate your perspective on the economist vs. ecologist argument and how that has implications for NEPA as a policy and process.
Thanks, good concept. Best Regards from Indonesia
Thanks a lot
Thank you very much for this useful video. I want to know whether the US president's order-making authority must come from the statutes made by Congress.
Thank you, this was extremely useful.
This is really explicit and very informative. Thank you for your calmness in explaining this!
I am learning due to so many projects got delayed due to environmental permits. I like to understand the intent and how to comply
Brilliant!!
Great
Thank you Chad! I’m just starting my new role as a planner, this was an awesome presentation!
Where does common law fit into this?
Just started this book... funny how predictable modern poli sci teachers are with their virtue signaling and abhorrent analogies. Only a liberal would start with a story from when they are 8 years old and recognized the oppression of their only black friend- only to go on and drop the n-bomb by page 30. And the "cake analogy" is nothing more than a completely irrelevant gimmick argument .... use the real world - and relevant example - of GRADE distribution, and see how infinitely clearer the situation is. Nothing new here- yet another poli science wokey appealing to platitudes and ridiculous oversimplification (lol, the praise for Obama's health reform was laughable- but I'm sure she DID get to keep her doctor). lol.... the American indoctrination system hard at work.... no wonder our newest generation of kids are the laziest, most entitled, and weakest generation of of germaphobes and wimps ever produced....
Great presentation, very useful.
Thnk you
Would Environmental Policy and Management be a good major if wanting to pursue a career in EHS or similar?

hello sir it is nice and descriptive lecture but i need to aske you one question would you verify all the declarations about environmental law and its own issue/
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE MASS INVASIONS INTO THE USA: 1. THE USA HIT BIO CAPACITY BY 1970 AT 200 MILLION 2. SINCE THEN WE'VE ADDED ANOTHER 150 MILLION OR WHATEVER 3 ALL MAINLY CAUSED FROM ILLEGAL AND LEGAL IMMIGRATION. 4. WHICH IS CAUSING A MASS DEGRADATION. 5. DISCUSSIONS OF OVERPOPULATION HAVE BEEN SUPPRESSED, CANCELED AND BOUGHT OFF, LITERALLLY. 6. POLITICAL MANUVERING TO ACCOMDATE THIS NIGHT MARE HAS BEEN FINANCED BY VARIOUS SPECIAL INTERESTS...THE PRIMARY MOTIVATIONS BEING, CHEAP LABOR, CHEAP VOTES...

So I’ve come across this video in search of climate change
Thank you Dr. McGuire. Because of these videos, I am considering applying for the EP certificate and the MPP after. A good teacher uses the phrase "what I mean by that is", to provide further context, as it should not be assumed all individuals grasped it the first time. He has clear communication, application through examples, slow but engaging tone, and poses questions for further personal investigation.
Hey Prof., seems like an off topic question and I'm sure there are other factors to consider (e.g. perhaps birth rates are higher in in-land areas in the US) but based on your coastal development data, from 1970 - 2010 there was over a 50% growth in pop. density in in-land areas, whereas it was just under 50% growth in coastal areas. With this data on the screen you assert that coastal population density is growing faster than inland. I was just wondering if you had further explanation to your reasoning (I'm making an assumption you have more than just a passing interest in coastal population projections). Thanks, Bryce
Hey Bryce, I've seen this example used in textbooks and papers in public policy and environmental economics, used as an example for unintended consequences. You can probably do a search on jstor and find some papers investigating other factors. Let me know if you find something interesting.
Describe any four policy modals ? what is your understanding to this question
Thanks
This is such a great work 😇
Thanks a lot, sir. you explain these models very well👍 I like your way of teaching 😊
