The key to being happier in life is to simply "not give a fuck." Understand what it means. Not giving a fuck isn't actually about not caring about anything at all. ...
Learn what's important and what isn't. ...
Get to know yourself. ...
Weigh up the consequences....
Grow thicker skin. ...
Be comfortable with it. ...
Be confident in your choices.

Duck &Chicken Eggs in Thieves Vinegar.
Studies and experiments have demonstrated that the phenomenon is due to camera artefacts created when fast-moving insects or birds are recorded at low shutter speeds. The resulting motion blur creates the rod-like shape with undulating ‘fins,’ which are, in fact, wing movements. This has been consistently reproduced in controlled environments, leading to a near-complete consensus among scientists and videographers that this explains the skyfish mystery. Despite this consensus, theories surrounding the existence of skyfish or flying rods nevertheless vary widely, with explanations ranging from the mundane to the extraordinary. The most prominent theories are divided into two broad categories: scientific or rational explanations, and paranormal or cryptozoological ones. Insects or Birds The most widely accepted theory is that these so-called paranormal rods are optical illusions caused by insects or birds moving across the camera’s field of view. Low shutter speeds create motion blur, making the creatures appear as elongated, rod-like shapes with wavy limbs. This has been reproduced in controlled experiments, showing that the phenomenon is due to camera limitations rather than UFOs. Interdimensional Beings Some believe these UFO rods are interdimensional beings or extraterrestrial in origin, visible only to cameras due to their speed or frequency of movement. This theory connects to broader UFO and alien hypotheses, suggesting these entities could represent advanced technology or lifeforms existing on the outer edges of human perception. Undiscovered Aerial Lifeforms Another theory suggests that flying rods are a species of undiscovered lifeform. It has been argued these creatures are invisible to the naked eye due to their speed, altitude, or unique biology. Plasma-Based Phenomena Some suggest flying rods may be related to plasma, a state of matter formed during atmospheric electrical events like lightning. Plasma-based phenomena could create the illusion of structured, moving objects in the sky. While intriguing, this theory remains speculative and no concrete evidence has been provided to link the flying rod mystery to naturally occurring plasma events. While the scientific consensus favours the insect or bird theory as the most likely explanation for flying rods, a dedicated community of enthusiasts continues to explore alternative ideas.
Looks good Mike and hopefully fox proof if there’s such a thing🤞
Looking good mate💪
A lot of work and dump runs carried out post storm looking well, did the hens etc go off their egg production over that period Mike?
@@mikeman584 yes the hens have stopped laying for the time being now, however the ducks are still at it 1 per day about 40 per/week, All the best Mike lad
Wow the allotments have took a serious pounding Mike , hopefully no casualties and the storms blown out to give you a chance to repair, looks like you are going to be busy.
@@mikeman584all sorted now bud thank you 🙏🏼
So glad cats don’t have rattle tails.
Never seen anything like that before Mike is it dyed with something?
@@mikeman584 it’s just a rainbow-colored strain of flint corn mate.
Smallish sized hunt but good to see , I take it that will be a drag hunt affair?

Grey hairs working...?
It's trying to spray.
Sound well Mike they obviously practice a lot. Crap old miserable day by the looks of it. Good weather for ducks mate 😃
Happy ducks Mike and a fair old variety of breeds mate.
Yeah plenty of varieties lol. I just let breed till there hearts content mate. Stop them in winter time but encourage it through spring and summer Mike you know the score mukker.
@@NAceCys yeah looks like they have a good life and that and the garden gives you peace and enjoyment though I would say conditions especially at the start of the year would have been challenging enough, thought not for the ducks of course👍
How did you do that? Did you start with one TBS ?
@@jasongibson8522 the grains self replicate mate and the more kefir you produce the more grains you get.
Some planting there Mike, it’s all really pushed on from the nasty old winter and spring. Well done 👏👏🌽👍🇬🇧
Good to see some of the crowd. Sadly not all are still with us XIX
Sorry about your loss buddy XIX💪
@@peterdonaldson1 live & learn mate. Its been a difficult year for loss on the homestead mate, several ducklings drowned too and that knocked me for 6 but it have to look around me and see the the absolute amazing that i have achieved knowing that i am indeed doing amazing stuff too & life on a small farm is as common as death too. All the best Donny bro.
❤❤
Very impressive Mike looks like that ground was well mucked prior to planting.
Cooking on gas there mate. Proper envious!
We should have had more Donny but the weather has not been the best and a lot of crops never started due to cold temperatures.
@@NAceCysI can only use my tunnel due to being overrun by slugs. Seems like its a Europe wide problem this year though
Very impressive a huge amount of brassicas , got to be good for the old gut health. I always laugh when you see these so called celebrity chefs prancing around “ their cottage gardens”. When you know they have just hired a couple of professional gardeners cos they are too busy raking the money in on book deals and filming etc. You and your Missus knows the work that is required.

I love Durham I went last year to the cathedral it was awesome.
Yeah we're due a bit better weather from this weekend. Oddly enough though, ive been struggling in my tunnel with too much heat. Usually between 35-42C. But just like you said mate, it is what it is.
I'm appalled! Not one cannabis plant, WTAF????
Yes Mike lots of growing going on there, your local Tescos/ greengrocer must just hate you😃 nice poly tunnels. Nice big dog as well you are well set up. Has prompted me to get off my arse, walk my dogs and maybe some garden/chainsaw work 👍
@@mikeman584 Rico our 4 year old German Shepherd x Rottweiler, he is very loyal and has incredible guard dog. Not been the best weather lately mukker and a lot of crops are struggling but I enjoy just plodding about and interacting with ducks & chickens. I am also keeping my eye out for a goose, preferably a Sebastopol female goose but will settle for an Embden and they are amazing grazers and enjoy eating grass & weeds etc so its a win win for me and these bloody weeds Mike. All the best mate have a great weekend
@@NAceCys yeah thought he looked the business, I have two working line German Shepherd’s (Eastern European/Czech working lines) Mother and son. Mother, Ruby is 7 years old now and son Zeus is 4 years. Both nutters, just too much energy for an old man with a bad back. Exotic ducks ,Sebastopol ducks my be a bit traumatised with all the bombing in the Crimea at the moment mate 😃😂
Looking good there mate
@@peterdonaldson1 cheers mate. Could do with warmer weather to grow more stuff but it is what it is mate.
Poor Etsy Mike , I hate having to bury them had a few dogs and cats and also sheep back in the day. Can be heart breaking and back breaking mate.
@@mikeman584 thank you Mike. Its very much appreciated. Its all a learning curve mate.
Yea they are rats down here and the occasional fox & badger too however i am really lucky as in either side of my allotment are two other allotments and the lads that have them have working dogs and are keen air rifle enthusiasts and manage to keep their numbers down plus we use quite a number of rodent kill traps too.
our ducks do the same thing
Can I just say, I jumped in here on this video to say your channel has one of the best descriptions I think I’ve read on RUclips. You choose the life you live. Have you heard Balfour’s maxim? “Nothing matters very much, and few things matter at all”. I think that’s a great way to live life. If you know what matters to you, then nothing else can matter all that much and you can live fully in the moment and be happy. And once you know what you don’t have and you want, you will do what is needed to get it. “Everybody fights for what they haven’t got”. That’s how I live my life. 20 years in the RN this year and not done yet. I wish my brother would live his life like your description says because he suffers from anxiety and depression but doesn’t do the things he needs to make his life better. Best wishes.
I was at itc catterick in 2001 had a green Howard’s plt sgt Geordie Heart. He was a smashing fella and built like a tank.
They are loving life take it you get the odd rat or two there Mike? A job for a good marksman maybe?
Lovely clocking hen and beautiful ducklings. Well done Mother hen 👏👏👍
Thank you 🙏🏼 Mike. This is Annie and this year we have had altogether so far 11 chicks & 13 ducklings. Annie having hatched 2 because Mary the Duck rejected some eggs which ended up in Annies care
@@NAceCys Thanks for your reply Annie. I was in the Howards years ago and recently watched Mikes time line video on his life/career path. I live in NI and tend to keep up on things XIX . My intuition tells me that your joint a lot ents and your support has brought much needed support to Mike. God bless you all.
You’ve a lot going on there Mike is it a small holding, extended garden or allotment. Regards XIX ✊
Its an allotment mate, 2 to be precise as one belongs to my wife however the workload is worth it because it gives me purpose and provides me with lots of happy hours. X1X.
@@NAceCys Thanks for the reply yeah I can see an awful lot of work has gone into them and still ongoing. Best of luck, health and happiness and thank you for your service.
