ZFX is a performer flying company that proudly manufactures their own flying equipment in Louisville, KY. Founded in 1994, ZFX brings a creative and enthusiastic attitude to the ancient art of flying effects. We have grown to nearly 60 full-time employees with offices on two continents. Our flying directors literally cross the globe daily serving a client base spanning high school theater troupes to huge Broadway productions. With a strong commitment to customer service and quality offering, ZFX delivers every aspect of theatrical flying including equipment, flying directors, harnesses, rigging, consulting, automation and even talent. ZFX has also becoming known for prop flying, moving facades and other artistic entities. Our videos feature some of the most awesome productions and events we have flown.

Usually the make-up is already taken off for the most parts before this scene. That's why the stage is so dark when the beast is stabbed (also the spotlight's usually on Gaston). The horns and remaining prostetics are tied to the cape, which is swooped offstage.

Why the Sugarplum Fairy song?
I vividly remember seeing this on Broadway about 20 years ago. I am also a Disney World fanatic and have seen their version too, but everytime the transformation happens they always put a certain over him or blacked out the stage. The Broadway show transformation took my breath away. It was so seamless.
it was! I saw the original production on Broadway in 1995 and it was breathtaking..every other production I have seen since..including the London one..had cost corners cut....that first production Disney spared no expense it was jaw dropping

When the school actually supports the arts.
And probably some major donors! Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. The school funds the arts and others are more interested in donating funds if that makes any sense.
