A multiple switch capacitor technics uses a principle of averaging different values. And there is one big disadvantage of all switching capacitors architectures: the smaller is s voltage difference the slower power transfer is. You can charge a battery in 3 hours, and then balance it during 16 hours. But Chinese manufacturers like it cause capacitors and mosfets are cheap, and they still can call it “an active balancer” All but a dynamic charging active balancing methods do not manage an energy transfer current. It can be any depending on esr, conductance, internal resistance, etc. I think it’s not good for a battery. A charging of a capacitor fast causes an energy loss as a radiation due to Maxwell equation besides of all A multiple transformer technic is similar to a multiple capacitor one: due to an averaging, higher charged cells fill a capacitor/inductor, and lower charged cells consume this energy. All at once. Everything happens automatically. No sophisticated controller is needed. You do not understand how this method works. The lossless charging is better to implement with two chargers. This eliminates all switches between cells (each mosfet adds 2-10 mOhm to an internal resistance)
