Another popular technique for achieving a decrease of one stitch is S1, K1, PSSO (or Slip one, Knit one, Pass slipped stitch over) It is often used in lace knitting and a pattern may ask you to slip the stitch knitwise or slip the stitch purlwise In this video I show you how to slip a stitch both ways and how to add this simple technique to your knitting toolbox!

This method of binding off your finished knitting project is simple and is my go-to! This simple bind off results is a nice stretchy and clean edge that I use for sweaters, socks, hats and dishcloths! The secret is not pulling on the stitch once you’ve passed it over!

It’s fun and easy to knit lace patterns once you’ve mastered a few simple stitch techniques. The Sl2, K1, PSSO (or Slip 2, Knit 1, Pass Slipped Stitches Over) is a simple double decrease that is often used in lace patterns. This stitch technique was featured in my Meg’s Dress dishcloth pattern.

Just knitted the butter tart dishcloth, now knitting the biscotti! I am using larger needles, US 5. Wondering if size 3 is just your preference? I found it too tight!! I am a thrower too!

What color yarn is that?
In the September dishcloth release I’m new and confused on the Three Pines Pattern part When you K3, K3 again and the do a YO. The yarn is in the front from the YO. The you do a S2, K1 using the yarn from in front ? And the PSSO. The YO thread doesn’t look right. Could you do a short tutorial on those stitches? Thank you
