I returned to a decepticon level problem when in a fit of rage after being asked to run below 69 gigidy degrees the unit left the wall attempting to gain control of the electoral college and ac rights. #only90skidswillremember

I'm glad to see a large-scale campaign targeting this issue, but I hope JMU's action towards sexual assault and domestic violence doesn't end here. The prevalence of sexual assault among our student body is extremely concerning for me and many other students. I'd like for JMU to publish the statistics for incidents of sexual assault specific to its students, and be clear about its policy on handling sexual assault cases through the new "Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices" (a change from the former Office of Judicial Affairs). The name change seems to suggest that JMU's administration is relinquishing the responsibility of determining punishments for students who have committed sexual assault. I'm not surprised, after the recent Butters case controversy. Perhaps this campaign is geared in the wrong direction, because I would argue that JMU students KNOW sexual assault is wrong. The problem is they also know it is something they can get away with. The statistics presented in this video are nothing new to students--we've heard all this before. During orientation week my freshman year, my FROGs gave everyone clear warning not to go out alone, not to get too drunk, not to trust forward men at fraternity parties, because the odds are we WILL get date-raped. The right path for action in this issue is not to ask the general population to acknowledge sexual assault/domestic violence is a concern, but to confront the people who are perpetrating these crimes. Make a firm statement that this type of violence is not acceptable, by providing a clear definition of sexual assault and taking serious action when incidents arise. It's JMU Administration who must say "NO MORE" to sexual assault. May I ask what kind of action this video is hoping to inspire? I'm afraid an awareness campaign through the Office of Residence Life will fail to reach upperclassmen who are now living off campus. It also feels like JMU is handing off the problem to the student body and saying "here, you solve this." The description says "we support you in saying NO MORE"--but what does ORL figure will be the result after students speak up and say NO MORE? The reason we would protest would be to see that changes are made so that students can rest at ease under protection against sexual violence. JMU is responsible for better providing this protection. So what's the plan?
