Reloop RP-7000 mk2: Final thoughts..Better than a 1210?
Love it the mans pure class, great old tunes just love them loving the bit of switchback prisoner cell back h brilliant
@scotsgaz6878 cheers Gaz. All the best 👍 ps that white label prisoner record cost me £4.99 back in 97 (i think it was) spoiled back then. Dread to think how much it would he now 😕
I have an old XL200 belt drive. Original belt. Still working.
Fabulous mix proper old tunes love it
Great mix on car play list pure class
Pure class some great old school tunes on the play list for the car and trust ne full blast
@scotsgaz6878 nice one Gaz. Cheers pal 👍 🏴

Hey, my two cents on the digital vs analogu pitch control - I am also on a lookout for a good set of turntables (had faulty 1210s, messed up at 120lp, and nice set of reloop 4000 - my first set and tbh I had no complaints back then). Only recently found out about digital pitch controls and saw ppl complaining and stuff bla bla - this put me off from buying the 7000 mk2. The, I dug deeper and saw that pros really have no issues with this, my doubt is that they even prefer it - for eg. I love Sven Vaeth and actually due to this digital pitch control gossip I immediately assumed he would prefer analog pitch control, but then I thought let me check... I went through a lot of his sets and really had a look and found out that dude seems to be using 1200 M5G (digital pitch) ever since they came out without any issues. I saw him use mk2 also, but this probably depends on the venue and ofc he would have no trouble using a brick. But all in all, go check for yourself if you do not believe me, m5g is really easy to spot due to the led lights and the buttons below the pitch. This put this stupid digital vs analogue discussion to rest in my head. Ofc it feels different, but the bottom line is, they both work. One other thing, a lot of ppl who complained about digital vs analogue pitch compare them head on eg. 1200 mk2 against smth digital - which when you think about it makes no god damn sense! Ofc you might have to correct the whole time bcs one is digital and the other is analogue - my guess is also that you might as well do a slight adjustment on the analogue one and they would be locked in (you might be somwhere in between the digital step) - these ppl have no idea what they are talking about tbh. So, if you have two good digital pitch control turntables of the same brand that is the only time you can make an honest comparison - bcs what I think once they get locked in they are locked in.
yas bro
Hi mate, do they stay in beat at all? I hear they constantly drift off and dont stay in beat, you have to twaek?
I have heard that myself tbf. Mine are from 2022 and don't drift at all. They hold the mix perfect
x2 Gemini XL-200 Turntable ive just brought
I bought two 7000mk2 in Glasgow, second hand, mint, also i bought a xone 62 there. I love them.
Where can I get this?
Ive noticed that the tonearm on Gemini PT series is is almost made where its stretched more to the left like its closer to almost a L shape than S shape like most other S shaped turntables. The tonearm definitely sounds better and tracks better than any turntable Ive tested and I've tested alot.
What a mix blast from the past from scotland
I recently purchased a set of Gemini xl - 600 looking to upgrade the cartridge / stylus - any ideas ?
Thanks for your review, I’m nearly convinced, however..I’ve seen many reports online that the bearings on the tone arm etc.. can become loose after some time. Have you experienced anything like this. I’m not entirely sure where on the assembly it is being reported but it’s apparently an “easy fix”. IF you know what you are doing. Please reply if you have experienced anything referring to this
The main reason I’m asking is because I really want to buy a set of 1200,s or 1210,s but if I could get the oem goat and not regret it I would be happy. Because I don’t have to search for old parts etc.. that’s my own personal argument but I think of this as my last set of decks considering they were made around the year I was born. I guess I’m asking if you were making such a decision for a set of decks for life… which would you go for?
@nikmcd4559 never happened on mine or anyone else I know that's bought them. Trust me mate they are solid!
How do you turn it off
Goes off as soon as you touch anything on the controller
My PT-1000 has still been in use since 1998. But back in 2017 I went to look at pair of PT-2000s (from a Kijiji ad), and they were in terrible condition.
Are these the same as the Gemini pt-2000iii?
Slight difference in them - the iii has pitch bend I believe. Underpinnings are the same
I was thinking about getting these and you've just sold them to me. I think digital pitch is better because they seem to respond to fine adjustments quicker than the old analogue pitches
Just bought a digital fm synth too which sounds fantastic. Don't know why people moan about digital, I've got an analogue drum machine and prefer my digital fm synth hands down 👍
I do like my analogue allen and heath mixer though sounds rather nice
Was this the only mix by DJ Baseline that got played on Bonus Beats or was there another one also?
I seem to rrember a baseline mix that had a sort of "fuck the panic" repeated sample
Haven't heard this since 1995, just remembered how much i loved this at 15 randomly at 44 and looked it up lol
I come from a 1200 and a 1200 SL background. Loved your explanations but need to know a couple of things… Are they as quick from start to stop response and are they as simple to set up where the anti skating device is concerned? And does this brand do a Bluetooth / USB version?
Hello and thanks for your comment. The start stop is selectable from near instant (to around 6 seconds) and yeah the anti scate is very easy set up - same as any other turntable. Re the Bluetooth/USB. That's a good question and I'm sorry I don't have an answer for that
@@C1CRN-u4e thanks…me thinks there is no bluetooth nor usb on this…
@@richmck007 on the 4000s, and the 7000s definitely not. The 8000 is a bit more advanced
I love my 7000Mk2s
I agree with this guy! RP7000 remind me of my M5Gs before I sold them
EPIC MIX!! I listened to it running around Manhattan NYC.. total bliss 🎉
I had a couple of 626 mixers thought they were cracking what are the platter feel like compared to 1210 mk2
Yeah the platter on a 1210 mk2 feels better to the Gemini, but the Gemini is very close! The Reloops feel exactly the same - really can't tell the difference to a mk2 1210, that's how good the 7000 mk2 is. Solid turntable's
I have these too and just wondering if you know anyone who can get these serviced? Thanks
8:50 - BANGER!
Still have set
if its not broke I wouldn't bother.. I still have my xdi-RX that I picked up in 2017! They still do everything I need so I have not bothered upgrading. :)
I spot a cheeky little FM transmitter on that shelf! Have one myself in the loft, old pirate radio DJ myself. I do TikTok mainly these days though.. Just passed 90k followers on there playing all my old vinyl collection. BTW, I just picked up a set of the Reloop RP7000 based off your other video. :D
FM Transmitter? Never heard of that word lol. Fantastic turntables, let me know how you get on with them. i myself came from 1210 mk2's and feel in love with the reloops stright away. in many ways the beat the 1210s, the only thing that gets in they way is the badge, if it said Technics on them, i rekon alot of 1210 mk2 would be getting scrapped for the reloops.im not a badge snob so i dont care, im really loving them! ill check you out on tik toc. whats your user?
Thanks for the info.. I think I'm going to grab a set based on your recommendation. I was torn between the Mk7 and these, but I think I will go for these rather than pay for the Technics branding.
Trust me mate these are the technics killer! I've tried both and the Reloops beat them hands down. Had my 7000s for nearly two years and they are solid! 👍
Great vid and I agree wholeheartedly with you on these decks, mate. I learned to mix on Soundlab belt drives back in the early 90s and one of those horrible KAM twin cd player units soon after, then been through three pairs of 1200 Mk2s since then. Just grabbed a pair of Reloops recently and can't really say they are any worse than Technics to be honest, and i really don't know what the fuss is about the digital pitch that everyone moans about. I immediately had no issue whatsover mixing with these. Maybe its just my style of mixing because I don't ride the pitch like some do, but i felt right at home on the first mix and loving them so far. For the same price of one second hand 1200.Mk2 (in Aus) for a pair of these babies im not complaining. Got mine paired up with a Rane One and boy i'm a happy camper 🥳
Superb buddy ...🙌🙌
This is the same decision I've been trying to make lol, Did you end up getting the XZ?
No I’m still contemplating😊
@@C1CRN-u4e Update: I bought the XZ, and I don't regret it!
Yet another masterpiece!! Thank you! Track ID 34:45?
Thanks for the great review, I have been considering a second hand SX/SX2 but was put off by the phono inputs being on the inside channels, I want to add turntables for vinyl and the outside channels on the mixer seemed to make some much more sense! I see you have the Reloops so maybe using the line input on the controller, how do you find it? Can you use any of the FX on the turntables?
Pure class what a mix love it saved to play list in car
thank you mate. its on my soundcloud too. soundcloud.com/deejay-ciaran-h/ciaran-h-happy-hardcore-anthems-1
I had the PT2000`s. Brilliant to see this. Big up :)
have 12,10`s. But just love the Reloop RP7000 MK2`S
Recommend this unit for home set up not for Dj ?
I wouldn't have a problem taking these to a gig. They are solid, heavier than the very disappointing mk7 1210
Those turntables sound good. Especially with an analogue mixer like xone 92
Takes me back. Paul Welsh and Ségun on Clyde 1 were essential listening for me. Glad I was a teenager at such a special moment in history. Rave on.
I Have one and still love it.
Thank you!
A remember listening to hurricane fm way back , im talking like 2001/2002 👍
The good old days of Pirate Radio. Thanks for the comment mate. Loads more mixs on my channel 👍
I bought mine and 1997 and I'm still using them today with DVS in 2023❤
Same here bro, bought them in 97 and they are still mint and work perfectly
Nices tunes, I liked that Placebo part, good work
What a set up bro
Thank you mate
I heard those tables have always hold there own
