I have Asperger's and it was a great story for me. Before 2nd grade, I had no friends, and people would tease me for being the "different boy" or the "loser" or the "weirdo" or the "creep", etc. I wasn't allowed to sit with the "normal" kids at lunch, at least according to the kids, and I would play basketball alone in recess since no one wanted to play with me. In 1st grade, 3 bullies beat me up to death and barely got disciplined for it, they only got 3 days with no recess, and people were saying that I deserved it and that they hated me and they didn't want me around. In 2nd grade, I switched schools to an awesome school with lots of friends that I have to this very day, and here's the awesome part, they're all girls:):):) (Reason all of my friends are girls is because I felt like I could never fit in with the boys at school due to their mischevious ways, and if I was with them, I would get in trouble a lot, and my mom raised me to be a nice kid, and to me, as someone who's autistic, girls are more easy to get along with cause they're really nice.) During my senior year, I wanted to go to senior prom so badly cause I didn't want to miss it. (Junior prom was rainy so I couldn't go.) I asked my other friend Jayne. At first I was so nervous that if I asked someone, I would get rejected, but a lot of people know me for my kindness, and therefore I was popular. So, after a club meeting, I was waiting for Jayne since she was at a track meeting, and prepared to ask her. I was so nervous, but I took a deep breath and asked "Jayne, will you go to senior prom with me?" And she said yes, much to my surprise. My heart started skipping beats cause I never thought this would happen:):):):) I was so happy and I was smiling and I told my friends how excited I am::):):):):):):):) Senior prom was so much fun and Jayne and I had a blast. We got to eat with her track friends and we danced and danced, and my grandfather drove us to and from the prom. It was the best night ever:):):):):):):):)

Neither of you are seniors so why are you demoing this. Also the challenge for seniors is getting them on and off. So that needs to be demoed. I’m a senior so I should know what’s important. Also you need a set of poles.

As a mother to a child that has autism I wish all autism children had a friend like this. My son is 17 and has never had anything like this. Unfortunately most kids are mean hearted and choose to be mean to him. God bless this young lady.

I couldn’t remember how me and one of my best friends became friends, then her mother told me I’d get agitated when I couldn’t write as good at other kids, and she’d calm me down That made my day, and she’d see me sitting by myself at recess and she’d come say hi and sit with me. I remember that to an extent Too bad I couldn’t ask her to prom, we went to different high schools so I couldn’t take my best friend to prom,

In my life I actually do have autism and I almost grew up with my friends from first to senior but sadly on my last day of middle school I had to start distance then I had to move which made me really depressed so I haven’t talked anyone in school for almost 2 years

I think those who are affected by disabilities call this "pity porn" or something along those lines because how do you think the person with autism feels knowing they are an object of pity to so many? Or if it were someone who was given shoes or clothes... do they want the whole world knowing they were destitute?
