I went into septic shock when I was in the military nearly died some say I did. Now I am fully disabled with brain injury from it but I survived and survived because of quick intervention. When I came back and still in survival mode it feels like lots of me is no longer there. PTSD is also crazy...

I'm still having problems with anger management, especially under stress. Going to have to try Abilify and/or a beta blocker--Propanolol.

I would be careful with Depakote/Valproic-Acid. I took in some years ago, only to incur injury to the liver as a result. Although i was fortunate to have recovered from the incident, the literature suggests that in many cases the pathology once instigated can become progressive, even resulting in death. So please be attentive. Also, Lamictal appears to be associated with the potential for a severe skin reaction, so I would also recommend caution with this medication as well, should it come into consideration. As regards to anti-convulsants, the most common and natural of all that is used in veterinary medicine is potassium bromide. I take this often, along with lithium. however the problem lf intermittent explosive disorder, per the DSM label, persists, particularly in response to any uptick in life stressors. very grateful for the advice in this video. anger management, though of value, is highly over-rated and as indicated in many animal models including our very own pets, the problem can be intrasigent and therefore often either under-treated or mistreated. those of us afflicted risk induction into situations of involuntary confinement which given the prevailing socio-economic factors can result in premature death via disposession and homelessness. I myself am now seeking to upgrade my own treatment protocols with regard to the anger issue as the matter of personal safety is of the utmost importance. Cigerrettes used to be my go-to drug, but since I quit the need to find a better, pharmacological substitute has become very evident. painfully so.

My Daughter-In-Law had a Anoxia caused by anaphylaxis. It was sudden and lasted approx 5 minures. We feared that she would have severe brain damage but has done amazingly well but has short term memory loss and irritability. What part of her brain is damaged?

I was a passenger in a car that got into a horrible accident in feb 2024. 3 months later was in another accident. Someone hit me from behind. The first accident my driver hit someone head on. I’m in PT, vision therapy, and I see a chiropractor. I’m constantly in fight or flight. I look normal but I’m not. Light sensitivity is like something I’ve never experienced. Thank you for posting this video. My son suffered from generalizing seizure disorder that were resistant to medication from 5 YO to 12 YO. At 15 suffered a sudden cognitive decline and I had him tested at the University of Miami CARD. He was diagnosed with frontal lobe damage. His MRI also showed a reduction in the size of his left temporal lobe. Everything you describe, explains his challenges. He was never able to read or write as he had no access to phonetic memory as well. At 21 he began hearing voices and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He became aggressive with me. I had no other option than to place him in housing where he could receive 24/7 care and supervision. I have experienced stages of frustration, anguish, anger, and helplessness, trying to get him an education, medical care, psychiatric, therapy and employment supports. I would settle for anything that makes him feel worthy. It is very difficult to find a community that understands our struggles. If you know of any center that works with these patients, can you please share that information?

1st - Ice skating. Legs went out from under me, tried to put my hands down, they slipped apart, hit on left side of forehead, head bounced like a basketball, vision in right eye vibrated for 30ish seconds. 2nd time - jumped by 5 guys, king hit behind right ear knocked out, hit the concrete, head stomped, left side temple area, basal skull fractures in prefrontal lobe area. CSF leak. Frustration, anger, rage issues. Easily triggered. No drive. Need reassurance like a child when triggered. Shit story, bro.

I had a birth TBI from forceps 7 1/2 premiere Skull fracture located near rTPJ, brain bleed, posttraumatic hydrocephalus EVD in NICU (unshunted), apnea detection sleep machine for first year of my life, 4 month surgery on skull, Epilepsy (grandmal and pitimal seizures) diagnosis around 5. Grandmal seizures stopped in grade school still have pitimal, Reading and spelling comprehension disabilities, Strabismus esotropia intermittent unilateral, sensory issues, central auditory (I lose words with too much background noise), migraines, depression and anxiety. By the time I was 25 my MRI didn't show the damage but the lasting effects are still there 4 decades later. I don't take any allopathic meds anymore. Herbal supplements,teas, tinctures and a healthy brain diet with regimented sleep schedule, daytime schedule and reduced external stressors as much as possible. Thank you so much for making this.

I was assaulted in 2012. I had my head stomped on after being knocked out from behind by a king hit behind my right ear. When I came too, there was a guy sitting on my legs holding me up with one hand while repeatedly punching me in the face. I remember just seeing flashes. Each flash was a punch to the face. Basal skull fractures, fracture through the cribriform plate of the ethmoid, lateral to the crista galli, permitting leak of CSF fluid. The perpendicular plate, vomer, and nasal bone were fractured. 13 years later I have been diagnosed with PTSD. A targeted MRI by a neuropsychogist reveled neuro inflammation. He perscribed minocycline 100mgs twice daily to target microglial inflammatory reactivity. My GP has no experience treating neuro inflammation. Is there anything else you might recomend I ask my GP to look into that could be of benifit in treatment of neuro inflammation? I take meletonin to help with sleep issues due to PTSD and my research has shown this to possibly be of some benifit due to its anti inflammatory effects but perhaps not at the dose im taking for sleep?
