God, it was so hard to find shibuya-kei back when it was actually happening, just imports and trawling soulseek, so great to just stumble on it on youtube
All the Shibuya-kei I stumbled upon was FPM (which I love) and maybe a couple others, but do you have any recommendations? I remember it was really great at the time, but I couldn't afford to buy a lot of albums so didn't really know what was what.

@@NintendoThumb So weird I wrote a response to this when you first asked but it didn't post - Manabus list is good but needs Cornelius - Fantasma, the album so good it destroyed the genre. I was listening to Fantasma on repeat for weeks after this video and it sounds just as fresh today as when it came out. Towa Tei Future Listening is also great. Cibo Matto and OG Katamari Damacy soundtrack may or may not be technically shibuyakei but at the very least is very inspired by it.
katamari damacy ost is absolutely shibuya-kei, it's actually a good represntation of how varied that genre/scene could get @@klikk99
