I nearly threw the race away in lap 1
Sundays race in Super Touring 5 at High Plains Raceway, I start the race on the front row, but then the car randomly falls out of 4th gear for some reason in the middle of turn 10, tumbling me down the order. Can I make it back up?

Leading the Race, only a few laps to go, all I have to do is bring the car home. My exhaust valve had different plans for me.

Just a raw video with some data overlay of our Heat Race at PPIR on Sat 4/25. Our season was cut nearly in half due to covid, but that doesnt mean it was short on action. A quick edit of some of the wheel to wheel racing from the 4 race weekends we did have.

Front4 main race @ High Plains Raceway. I start last and battle Andrew DeJesus for the lead. Will Andrew fly off track and throw away the race? Will John overheat? Will my car stay in one piece? The drama unfolds. Acura Integra, VW GTI, Ford Focus, Subaru Wagon, all battle for the win.

Not my fastest lap ever, but the fastest of the weekend. lost a few tenths locking up into 2 and a couple other small errors, but overall a decent lap.

Fighting for the lead with Paul in Sundays Qualifying race. He went a little hot into turn 10 and I took evasive maneuvers. Some awesome racing, car was fine and back on track for the main race an hour later to take the win!

A little [abet 12 years late] advice. On a true race engine you crank with the ignition off until the oil pressure just starts to come up and then while continuing to crank you flip the ignition on and it will start right up. Cranking and cranking with the ignition off until the oil pressure stops climbing is what floods the engine and makes it so hard to start.

what camera setup?
just a gopro hero3+ for the front bumper and my phone on the windhshield running Trackaddict and using the front facing camera. lots of people use phones, including me, with varied results, Ive found that the LG devices work much better with image stabilization than Samsung and Apple devices.
Too much fun! I'm honestly hopping up and down in my seat while watching this.
That was both awesome and weird. I'm thinking all front wheel drive 4 cylinders and then a stock car, a Legends car and a sports racer show up. I'll bet you're good at painting bumpers.

2 door or 4 door? And what you have done to the suspension? It had way less sway than when I last took my 1990 4door integra to the track
Hey Hey, its a 2 door. Suspension is pretty basic simple but works excellent. Koni Yellow, coilover sleeves, 700# front springs 700# rear springs, extended top hats, adjustable front upper control arms, and every bushing replaced with polyurethane.
Fun Fact: racecar backwards is racecar.

Best racing all weekend! 3:33 was my last-lap act of desperation, but no luck. Andrew definitely earned his win!
