Awesome adventure guys! Loved that beach shot sitting there in the camp chairs, that's the life, guys. Bummer about the Swag, I have no experience with Dometic, I had only heard good things about the air swag, but that's not good, hopefully they will warranty it, maybe a Monday version. Windows its an 80 thing, the motors get old, I have the same issue, esp when its cold, I have read somewhere its actually a power issue it shares from something else, but its quite a bit to rewire, something I am not prepared to try, think it was Mr Landcruiser that has a fix for it, either that or replace the regulators one in each door, not expensive, new. Raw vids some times are the best, keeping it real is awesome guys, just awesome to see something different from another great country, keep it coming🤘

Out there clearing tracks in flipflops, ballsy, women, the snakes hiding out there, id be steel capped boots and long handle shovel and extended manchette! Definitely a baller, sick though🤘

This just popped up on y channel, so bit late to the party, so you probably have already sorted many of the issues and more knowledgeable about the car. Pretty cool setup and great to be able to travel with in Cambodia, what an experience and trip, more so doing it an 80s, super sick. Be checking out the channel to follow that. Few things the 1HD series of engines all have the same block, FT all fuel injected bore and stroke the same, 94x100, the T was 12V mechanically injected, the FT is 24valve still mechanically injected, compression ratios from the 1HD-T and FT are the same, different glow plug setup, FT actually uses an internal glow screen heater which is also the same in the FTE. The FTE from the 100series is Electronically fuel injected, slightly different compression ratio B&S the same, they are the basics, you can push a bit more horsepower out of the FTEs, 260 max rec stock on a -T, with mods, turbo, FMIC intercooler etc, 270-280 on an FT and 300 comfortably on a FTE. The FT is awesome, also look at getting a transcooler on there and maybe a valve upgrade. Plenty of options in Aus for that. By the way its a 5 link setup in the rear, its using a panhard at the rear like yours has which is standard, someone has built an aftermarket panhard riser bracket, which is a good thing generally. But it looks huge, from what I can see (but may not be able to see) is bump stops look standard, with a riser you should have extended bump stops, 70mm on the rail stop, otherwise you can have chassis clearance issues. I cant see any, also a extended rear brake proportioning valve bracket, also check the front as you will get scrubbing otherwise! Looks like swaybar links etc have been setup at least have been extended which is good. Again its just what I could see from limited views. The lack of bump stops "may be a reason" why the axle diff has been cracked, with a 6" lift and 37s on a 5link on an 80series is crazy imo and no bump stop control, allot of stress is going into that axle, esp with loads and esp if its been off the ground beach dunes or through rough stuff at decent speed.. This is a common issue when people lift vehicles they focus on lift and shocks, not other factors to support it. Either don't know or don't get the right advice or its something they do in the future, wrong do it at the start or it will be costly and unsafe. Properly setup 2" to 3" lift which is best (3"0 for an 80s imo/e is the best compromise if still running a 5link setup! If you go more might as well go to a 4 link setup and coil overs to do it properly, that's expensive and outside of the USA, probably not road legal and engineering might be difficult, eg Sam Young check out his build and issues. I have an 80s, 5spd MT, but we have plenty in our club, most are 3 to 4' lifts, I can wheel anywhere and flex better than all of them, we did a flex ramp test a year ago when I was still at 2" lift and my 80 was the only one to get to the top of the ramp forwards and backwards with 35s.not using lockers, I did get out flexed by a 6" Patrol but it was a custom setup SC ute. I would get someone to check your up and down travel, check no issues there, check your bum stop limits if that hasn't already been addressed, def look at a 105 sector shaft upgrade for you front steering box and brace the chassis around the box, cheap easy common issue mod to do on the 80s! I run a full Manta 3" turbo back exhaust no muffler on mine just a resonator its not loud has a great tone, no issue with legality either. Again long past, but first thing I always do when buying a vehicle is drop all serviceable fluids, plus replace filters! Engine oil, diffs, trans and tc, this tells you more about its condition more than any mechanic will or can, you will know first hand what needs done from that, before getting advice from someone whose interest is to take money off you or sell you something. Its not hard for anyone to do and you don't need to be mechanical to do it, a must with any vehicle like this is imo to learn or know, rest can learn over time! Get a good Toyota workshop manual, keep it and scan key maintenance and service things into your phone. Just some thoughts if you haven't already sorted them out, or checked. Will follow the trip, Im sure its been a blast so far🤘
