Magical Times. RIP all.
Sounds like keepon growing lp layla
So much talent on one stage that it gets in the way of itself.
George the seasoned veteran, at 26, here.
Jimmy G!
Yes George did some shows with them. As did Dave Mason. An All Star band Future Dominos Bobby Whitlock Carl Radle and Jim Gordon. And Rita Coolidge Bobby Keys and Jim Horn
I may not have been alive for this moment… but I don’t doubt I was alive for this moment… the music is all to familiar
Great show !
so good
HALL OF FAME WORTHY CAPTURE OF A LIVE SONG!!!!!
They don't make music like this anymore! I was 16 years old in 1969 when I first heard of Delaney and Bonnie and bought all their albums. I have loved their music ever since, and all the great musicians in this video who they played with. I never saw them live but wish I had. Nobody today comes anywhere close to what they were doing back then.
Both great r&b vocalists. I wish they hadn’t disappeared after only a few years
Had the pleasure of seeing their British tour in Birmingham (England) Town Hall (There are backstage pics out there) great gig. They both had great voices, but Bonnie blew us away!
Dave Mason behind the drum kit.
Sorry, Jim Gordon. My goof-up.
Bonnie has the music deep down inside her you can tell by her solid badass dance moves even though there subtle
Jim Gordon the greatest drummer ever
Bonnie was so pretty!
My favourite D & B performance by far. This may make sense to no one, but Bonnie is completely within the groove
not everyone can say they have a Beatle a guitar god and MadDogs in their band all at the same time , to this day one of my favorite outfits
I guess ya had to be there ?
George and Eric relieved from their stardom pressure
Seems Jojo is playing his psychedelic Strat
Bobby Keys on sax?
Yes
Sorry, I just never got all the hoopla over this band. Yeah, it's an all star line up, but didnt last long, and I thought they were pretty boring. They're all heavy into the dope here, and there were tons of 'personal issues', especially with D&B. Clapton once called it his biggest musical mistake, although it led to a couple of classic albumns for him, with a few of these guys onboard. 461 Ocean Blvd still one of my all time favs..
George gave the Rosewood Tele to Delaney. When it came up for auction many decades later, the Harrison Estate paid close to half a million dollars to get it back.
TUVE el disco y ahora lo tiene Rafael CATANA 😅
The closest band we have to compare to these guys is Tedeshi-Trucks Band. A Rhythm and Blues revue of the first order! ❤❤❤
Badass!
ERIC AND George, just wanna play kick ass rhythm guitar. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
I bet if anyone would've ask Bonnie where she was at. She couldn't have told you. Then get pissed that you asked. Of course Del would've stepped in to straighten ya out. Then beat up Bonnie because she deserved it.
If I was going to make another mix tape, this would definitely be on it ❤
This is one of THE MOST significant collaborations in the history of rock music. The fact that Delaney and Bonnie and Friends isn't the number one answer when any question of which was the greatest rock band, or the greatest supergroup of all time question is asked,,,,, just adds to the mystique of this monster collaboration.
This whole concert is incredible. Carle Radle and Jim Gordon are one of the finest rhythm sections ever. RIP Carl and Jimmy.
So do I! It felt like I was floating on a cloud dancing! Great playing! ❤🥰
This song must have inspired George Harrison’s song “Wah-Wah” released a year later on All Things Must Pass.
Clapton said that Delaney and Bonnie were his warm up band when he was with Blind Faith and that he thought it should be the other way around. He liked them so much he started travelling with them instead of his own band.
Matteo leapt over the heads of giants and proved to those that thought there was no way to improve on the godlike playing of the Dimeolas, Holdsworths, Methenys, Atkins, Carltons, Lukathers, Ritenours, and Montgomerys of the world, that there is a way, and its name is Matteo Mancuso. At 25 or so yrs of age his need to carry his message and spread his gospel is like Metheny’s indefatigable nonstop worldwide touring and teaching. Let’s hope he keeps it up for 50 plus years like Metheny, then we will really have something!
This- was a super group. The amount of cumulative talent on that stage was unparalleled.
Pretty weak line up if u ask me. Haha
That's what was happening when I came into this world. No wonder!
Clapton and Harrison as a guitar duo 👌👌
Awesome! Thx soo much! What a treat😊❤😊❤
When i heard that harmonic lick at 5:20 , i wondered if it was Eric or George, but it blew my mind that it was Delaney playing it! Alot of people think thats a Eddie Van Halen lick, but i saw an old video of Roy Buchanon playing it…except thw way Roy played it, it just came from his fingertips without pretense or preperation
It's not a "lick" it's just rubbing the pick up and down on one of the wound strings, it's a trick a 3 yr old could do.
@@billyboy1093 we’re not talking about the same thing…I’ve been playing guitar for 45 years… it’s NOT something “a 3 year old can play”! A much better version of this lick was played by Gary Moore during the guitar solo on The Traveling Wilburys’ “She’s My Baby”. You seemed to be describing a standard pick scrape, which is easy to do, but takes practice to perfect
Poor George Harrison after playing with such fantastic musicians as The Beatles he ended up with these bag of Bones 😅
Yes, it's George Harrison and, if you look closely, Delaney plays the famous Let it be Fender telecaster rosewood. George gave this guitar to Delaney ! And the Delaney and Bonnie band : With the little help from their friends.
Napoleon Dynamite was a rocker?
Bobby Whitlock on B3 rocking it!
This performance is like heroin. One taste and you're hooked. I'm back for my daily.
I love the opening riff on this song!! Great song all the way!!
