A woman introduced me to this music, and these songs, long ago... after a while, and through many breakups, I would tell her, that Vermillion is my song about her. It was exactly what I was going through every time we separated. Finally, we broke up for good... but my heart was still hers. Despite she found a new boyfriend. Our hearts belonged to each other.. Recently, a year after we broke up, I caught word she was in the hospital. While with her new bfriend, she shot up for the first and only time.... She overdosed, and later determined she was brain dead. After donating her organs, they pulled the plug the next morning. It's been over a year since she died. I dream of her every night, and in my dreams, this song is playing over and over. Tears down my face and pouring sweat, I seem to wake up hearing myself say "Ill always love you Rhiannon", about the time the song is saying 'she isnt real... cant make her real'... This shit is tough. Idk why I'm commenting all this. It's not like me to. Def not my nature. But I Feel like keep maybe she wants me too. Slipknot was her favorite band. I wish I could just see her one last time. Cuz the last time I did, she was crying as she let me go and walked away. Fuck, her family didnt even have a fuckin funeral. Just cremated her and moving along... Someone close to her told after all said n done, that she told them she made a huge mistake leaving me. And that if I would just call, she would drop everything and come back to me. But I never called. Living with this is building up inside n killing me. Rest in Peace Rhiannon Riess. I love you RhiRhi. See you soon.
