All the trains at Cais de Sodre go to Cascais. Just check the board for the time to determine which track. I believe there is a bus from Cascais to Cabo de Roca.

@no, you catch the train to Sintra at Rossio. It’s not in the Rossio metro station but just a short walk from there.

@antikurjers, the Cascais train line goes from Cais do Sodre (which is the end of the green line metro) along the coast to Cascais. That train line is different than the metro (red, green, yellow and blue). I have seen some people with their bikes on both the train and metro lines. I hope I answered your question. @@antikurjers The only way that I know would be to take an Uber or Taxi from the airport. Ubers from my apartment (about 5 minutes from the airport) to Cascais is usually around €20-25. The metro is a bit convoluted, the red line is at the airport so you would need to transfer to the green line at Alameda. Take green line to Cais do Sodre and then take the train to Cascais.

@WillinggToFail I hang my underwear out to dry but I have a balcony where I put the drying rack and am on the 1st floor (what would be the 2nd floor in the U.S.) so people probably can't even see. But I have seen other people's underwear happily drying on the lines outside of apartment windows.

@laurenjenks2096, they tend to use all (or most of the platforms) just check the signage to see which platform the train is leaving from at that particular time. Trains usually leave on the hour, 20 minutes past the hour and 40 minutes past the hour, but again check the signage for possible changes/cancelations.

Following my disappointment at the Cafe Sacher I did visit the Cafe Demel and its Sachertorte was superior.

@kathleenfraser1353, while I don't have any prescriptions I take on a regular basis, when I did have to take various prescriptions they were a lot less than I would have paid in the U.S. even with insurance and my insurance plan here doesn't cover prescriptions. When I asked my insurance broker why, he said that typically they are not very expensive here and often times they are subsidized by the government. I hope that helps.

@IowaLanguages, what kind of company recommendation did you want, health insurance? If so, I use Multicare and I'm happy with them. Regarding the $9K funded bank account for residency ... the best thing to do is join Americans & Friends PT on Facebook. They have extensive files in the group that are kept up-to-date. For instance, I had to have 2X the Portuguese minimum wage (so 20K Euros) for my Visa application and SEF appointment. After you SEF appointment, I don't believe you have to maintain that level, but you may want to check in the group files.
