      It will last quite a while after not having a filter. My truck lasted 3 years. It started burning oil, had to ad a quart every month. It would have lasted longer if I did not miss that quart. It was already to low when I stepped on the gas and took off at high speed ruining the engine. Just heard a knocking sound, then speed will not reach 35 then drop to 25 then nothing. I also drive allot, pretty much all day . anyone else could probably have their car last 6 to 7 yrs.

    Ok well in the years of running turbos independent throttle bodies everything on all my cars not one has had any problems in or out from no air filter yes in your daily driver in town and crap it helps but I ran on dirt gravel, dusty roads a lot of time and it did not do as much damage as you would think but it also mattered where you were picking up the air from . Maybe I changed my oil too much. I don’t know.

    That has to be a nissan rougue or similar SUV, it eats filter like crazy is worst if you go thru contructions. I have to chance it every 2 months. Fyi if you leave them like that it will break the mass air sensor....not cheap

    • @repairsolutions-m4y
      @repairsolutions-m4y 3 дня назад

      It was actually a Mitsubishi Mighty Max 87 Truck. It had a rebuild engine. After not having the air filter, I checked on the exhaust and it had black dust, something it didn't have before.

  • @joemartin5021
    @joemartin5021 7 дней назад

    Leaving it uncovered will actually do NOTHING because that is PRE-FILTER therefore you are just making it easier for air to get in....that actually means that you will make more power with that cover removed. The filter is still there so its fine. If its gone you are right it will damage things...possibly....or maybe not if you dont drive much or in any dusty areas. If you had to you could get away with a very thin wire mesh to prevent large debris from entering. PLENTY of people have turbo race cars that have no filters or screens at all because they are racing on a clean track with no debris or dirt. Just sayin...

    • @repairsolutions-m4y
      @repairsolutions-m4y 6 дней назад

      I thought so too until I completely ruined my truck. When the cover is off, your filter is not tight enough to make a nice seal, getting dusty and way to dirty in a very short period of time. Eventually allowing dust to enter the cylinder. Now' You don't really need that much dust to ruin your engine. Once it gets thru the damage is already done. I would say, these things have a cover for a reason. I had to learn it the hard way.

    • @seth7131
      @seth7131 5 дней назад

      People that plan on rebuilding their engine soon run no filters... the performance people that dont run them, dont because they know something else will blow it up first. Lots of people don't use K&N because of the fact their "more air" is just less filter. Causes more wear. It's not that it will blow up immediately but it will cause more maintenance until rebuild time

      I totally agree with you, but its regulations. Due to the unit being upstairs the first floor rule does not apply. In a one story home, your bedroom windows cannot be higher than 44 inches off the floor to aloud anyone to exit in case of a fire. On a living room you can go any size and wider. Also a bedroom window cannot be bigger than 10% of the square footage of the room.

Cheaper than buying any Bearing. Now' the same spindle can cost hundreds for this Slicer, but if you look it up for a lawnmower on amazon, you can buy it for under 25 dollars. It's the same spindle... In fact, you can even buy it from amazon and sell it for over 500 for the Kendel slicer on eBay or any site.

      Very true, I had someone respond to a video, claiming that copper was not aloud in homes, that PVC was the correct water system. I wanted to contradict him, but I did not. The reason is, that I have actually done work in cities where the water system from the meter to the home is actually PVC. when I been called to these jobs, it was mainly because the Pvc fittings came undone and had a constant water leak. It is not a good pipe for a permanent thing. This is why they normally use it in landscaping irrigation systems. This is why it is best to check your local city requirements. Different cities or counties have different requirements.
