Replaced the corroded fuel tank on the Integra. It was not visibly leaking but I could smell gas whenever the tank was greater than half full. The new one is working good thus far. Cheers

DC4 Integra valve cover gasket and cam seal
Просмотров 1176 месяцев назад
First wrenching on the 1995 Acura Integra RS (B18B1 motor) to address the oil leaks coming from the valve cover and cam seal. Swapped with the Felpro valve cover gasket and a cheap metal cam seal (the Skunk2 one looks great but a little pricey IMO). Hit the comments if you have any questions.

No talking, just driving. Found some backroads to do some pulls - such a fun motor to wring out. Only mods are a Moroso oil pan and and eBay axle back exhaust.
Hydroseed watering - equipment & 2-week update

Rundown of the equipment I have used and approach to watering a full hydroseed of our 0.37-acre lot. For the Northeast, optimal times to hydroseed are Spring and Fall. We were sprayed in July, as we did not want to wait, and we're making it work. Thanks for watching. Must have equipment: -3/4-inch quick connectors -Programmable watering timer -3/4-inch hose splitter

Ski rack DIY

Pretty simple DIY ski rack that can be moved which is great if you keep your boards in a different spot in the winter vs. the summer months. Vertical posts are about 21 inches and the slots for each ski are 5 inches. Cheers

2005 corolla XRS
Perfect car for the snow 😅
if you ever wanna sell this lmk
Ive been looking for this video for the better part of 2 years. My vehicle is a 2005 Chrysler 300, but apparently, they share the same style of connector. Thank you for having that picture in the thumbnail!
glad to hear my lousy channel was good for something. cheers
Looking great. Just managed to pick up an 05 XRS with 172k KM for $7000 CAD a couple weeks ago. Mechanically in good condition (some dings and scrapes to chip away at) but it needed a new throttle body which was not cheap. Putting it in tomorrow so I can take it for a good drive, for now I'll just have to watch videos of other people driving it haha.
I replaced my 02 censor and it still runs sluggish?
@@johncrawford6799 have you replaced all the spark plugs?
I’m surprised your transmission hasn’t blown. Mine blew twice already. I push it hard.
ah dang sorry to hear that man. I get on it quite a bit and it never has given me any problems...a couple grinds over the years if I get lazy and do not have the clutch in all the way when shifting.
Question. Did your significant other from the time you were searching for vehicles have issues with you spending so much time looking for vehicles? My girlfriend and now wife always had issues but benefits from all my time searching and I just wondered if anyone else had or has this issue. She thinks deals fall in your lap and it really takes a long time and skill to navigate through garbage and scams online etc.
haha love this question. the first year we were dating my wife didn't understand why i was always looking even when i was happy with my vehicle. you hit it on the head though - with the used car market you can't control when an opportunity is going to present itself especially with the enthusiast cars. my wife appreciates it now as I've bought a few vehicles that have really worked out for us. after all, you could be doing a LOT worse things then scanning classifieds for cars.
@@ZachD now I feel better because she didn't get it then or now. I don't search ads much with her around now. She benefited with every vehicle but I made it look easy I guess. I got the 2 i always wanted and 1 I stumbled on so unless I can find that 6 speed Cadillac I guess i'm done for now. Glad someone's significant other gets it 😂
@@dentpulla for sure man - every relationship is different. I wouldn't say my wife gets it but she accepts that it will always be an interest of mine ha. Ultimately cars are dumb - all they have to do is get us from A to B and I hate that I love slamming gears and bouncing off the limiter but it is what it is. Good luck on the cadillac search I've always been intrigued by the cadillac CTS with the 6 speed tremec gearbox even if its not the V model. Slept on car for sure. cheers
Stupid question but which direction did you turn to loosen the fuel damper
its left as you would expect...that puppy was on there good - wear gloves and a use a rag I remember gashing my wrist bad when I broke it loose.
@@ZachD so towards the driver tire?
@@ZachDthats what just happened today to my brother in law helping me with the fuel rail pressure regulator. we are having hard time aligning it to the rail with the stubborn bracket for the regulator
Any tricks for dragging the hose?
I would just give it the upward whip a bit while walking it around to keep it light on the new seed. I tried to move the hoses every other day, even if I didn't move the sprinklers, to not kill the grass underneath.
Best bang for your bucks. I used to own a 2005 impulse red. Had it from 2005 to 2016. I was young and relentless with street racing. All you need is a ECU reflash. Kicking your "Lift" from 55K to almost 9K. And full bolt on. Fun fun ride!!!
I'm not going to watch this too much
Talking too much go to the point

Didn't do your homework, did you. Hondabond is the only thing you should use here. Never silicone sealer. Use the correct stuff or leave this important work to a pro.
Honda bond is a silicone sealer and has the same temp properties as ultra black. If I had hondabond I would have used it but for a little added seal on the gasket shoulders this is just fine.
And you went cheap on the cam seal. Why? Why not get a good one??????
Well anything was going to be a large improvement over Honda’s part. Construction seems good, fits well, and the three o-rings are intact. It’s not a structural part so I didn’t see the value in spending $40 for billet vs cast. It’s been leak free so far so I’ll keep an eye on it.
Only use Hondabond. Only.

After 4 great years I’ll be posting it for sale within the next couple weeks in the Rochester NY Craigslist / FB marketplace. I just bought my first new vehicle so if you’re legitimately interested stay tuned.
I’m going to do this on my Supra. Luckily I have the housing kit so I didn’t have to worry about the OEM wires as well. Just connect them to the housing etc. very informative video. I appreciate it also I went ahead and change my coil pack to so everything will be new lol.
Many thanks. The plastic components of the 3 low tension coil connectors on my 1998 Lexus ES300 were disintegrating. I bought new plugs with tails etc on eBay but only needed the plastic parts. This video was so important in showing me how to swap over the plastic plugs.👌👍
Does this fit on the 98-02?
I’m wondering the same thing, you figure it out?
Not yet. I’ll ask around lmk if you figure lol
This is the best explanation video of how to take the seats out and dude doesn't even have the seats with him thanks bro
Thanks a lot for posting this video! It helped me greatly in getting mine de-pin'd.
You can make it more vertical by adding a thicker piece in front of the tail. Or add foam/rubber to protect and make more upright Love it and will probably make something similar.
Wish I could find where you got tht spacer from, I’m looking everywhere, I can’t locate it anywhere
I think they mostly got pulled from slamazon but just looked and seems you can grab them off walmart's site. might have to search by pitch - m18x1.5 I believe. good luck
@@ZachD thanks a bunch
Congrats brother 🔥
Nice bro I just copped a teggy what are you going to do first?
Nice congrats man. Unfortunately it looks like the first year of work on it might not be super exciting. Small oil leak so new oil pan gasket, possibly a small fuel leak so may need a new filler neck, fresh pads and fluids all over. Long term it’ll be pretty chill - maybe some silver RPF1s with meaty tires to hook up in corners with the open diff. I also like the idea of bronze wheels but will probably chicken out and do silver ha. Looks like a full exhaust can be done pretty cheap so maybe that too. We’ll see. What do you have planned for yours?
No way! What a find, my first car in high school was an 01 integra
Awesome. Yeah - I’m late to the game but better late than never. Pumped for some tasteful, light mods and stacking miles on this thing. Cheers
that car looks pristine. hope you enjoy it
Thanks man
Welcome to the club, man! That one looks to be in stellar shape. It’s funny you mentioned it, but I also remember how “high” the clutch’s engagement point felt when I first bought mine. You’ll get it down in no time, though. These cars have one of the best stock clutch/shifter combinations that I’ve encountered. Really, really fun cars even without VTEC. Hope you enjoy yours. Consider installing a kill switch!
thanks boss. yeah I'm definitely enjoying it thus far. I definitely have to do something in the realm of antitheft so good call with the kill switch. looking like I may need to do an oil pan gasket as well - any recommendation for which gasket to use?
@@ZachDfelpro with the steel core in the middle. That or oem. The felpro works great though. Dont get the one without the metal they suck. Shouldnt need to use rtv on the felpro as well.
@@ZachDalso look up jdi industries, they have a plug and play main relay conversion and an optional kill switch that cuts off the fuel pump relay.
@@PalatialHD - Exactly what I was going to suggest. The OEM gasket is great, but it can be tricky to keep it in place during installation. The Fel Pro solves this issue.
Looks good man looking forward for vids on it
We have an 05 with the Auto. Wish it was a 6 speed.
My car was like if a blown spark plug but I just got done with my tune up so now I took everything back off again
Did you do anything to get your car ready for Autox?
Moroso oil pan, muffler delete, and wheels/tires. Not much at all. Moroso was definitely expensive and probably overkill.
What black wheels do you have in the thumbnail?
Konig control.
Thanks
That a nice stretch of road there my friend...Rolla's looking quick. I have yet to get my XRS out for a good rip outside of the daily commute unfortunately. Waiting on a Magnaflow catback exhaust...not the cheapest. I'm probably going to be finishing off the original struts with some H&R race springs ( I'm in Canada but equivalent mileage is 85k miles ) before I go coilovers to compensate for my overpriced exhaust 🤣. As i mentioned before I should video post some of this for sure!
Awesome - magnaflow should sound amazing. I think mine sounds decent with the ebay cheap-o so I can't imagine how good a well engineered unit will sound. We're in a similar boat...I'm bummed I didn't even make it to an autoX event this year. We'll get 'em in the Spring.
@@ZachD Absolutely! I want to finish some of the cosmetic touches over the winter anyways haha. But yeah your exhaust sounds great...I almost pulled the trigger on your exhaust actually. It sounds great and you can hear the perfect blend of the engine and exhaust in your video 👌
Great video man! Still have my Corolla XRS, but have not had a chance to drive it lately since I have 3 other Lexus cars so great to watch these videos and appreciate how amazing 2ZZ-GE is.
Thanks boss. Yeah the XRS is not very quick but fun factor is really high. Shoot me a message if you end up selling yours ha
@@ZachD Indeed. It is. So far, have no plans so far for selling it. I have lots of mods like flywheel, clutch, ARP bolts, Koni yellow adjustable dampers, Megan race springs, Enkei 17 x 7.5 wheels etc. and made it an auto cross type of car like you. Cheers!
What is the other sensor called?
Hello I have Acura tl 2012. I am getting P0430 low threshold bank 2. Should I install the spacer in front sensor? Is it sensor 1 or 2 I would appreciate help thx
I’m guessing those cross bars are for protection in a collision, if not I’d like to remove them, thanks.
They’re for handling/ chassis stiffness, but I would think they would be helpful in a collision for sure.
Perfect! Thank you for posting this.
Man pretty sure we're the damn person lol. Always looking for that next car...so true 😂. Im going to look at a low mielage '05 XRS Corolla 🤣 Funny you should mention the EP3. I've owned one for a short while now...'02 EP3. Coming from an EM1 i like it better...it feels like more of a driver's car with a noticeably stiffer chassis to boot! I miss the B16A2 engine but the EP3 feels like a torque monster in comparison lol. I also autocross and it was impressive with 200tw tires and only Tein basis coilovers thst came on it. Got into an accdient in the EP3, minor cosmetics but still facing a write-off unfortunately. The XRS with the 4 doors is such a sleeper plus I've got 2 young kids so the EP3 isn't a winner with the wife lol. Other than the premium fuel and likely softer suspension I can't think of any other car similar in performance 😂 that's N/A that could be as fun or reliable ( other than my EP3 😉) as the XRS so I'll likely end up with it...one because it's kind of a unicorn...and it's so under the radar. I'm such a target in that EP3...but I love it! Anyways I like your content and good luck with the search. Definitely post up what you decide!!!
Hey thanks man. Bummer on the EP3 and good luck with the XRS search!
@@ZachD Thanks man. Search is over...found a low mileage unmolested Corolla XRS in silver with 136k Kilometres ( 82,000 miles) in Silver....drove it home no one even batted an eye at my ride....so under the radar 🤣
@@ericlindsey1708 dang that’s so awesome. I’m pumped for you! Sounds like you found an absolute gem. Unreal it has that low of mileage. Great work
@@ZachD Yeah hard to believe the condition. I think soon enough I'll post an intro on RUclips maybe...although I may not do too much with it until after winter lol. What's crazy is that there's a black '05 XRS on the market here in Vancouver BC still that only has 88,000km...which is stupid low! Asking 14,000 CAD though.
@@ericlindsey1708 dang - would love a black one but that’s too steep. I subbed so I look forward to following your stuff. I’ll have a driving vid posted within a week. It’s done I just have to upload. For your car I’d recommend the moroso pan or the modified 1zz pan. I have the moroso but it’s probably overkill. Your silver one might look real good on some black wheels…
Anyway you could let us know the other parts that you have. I see the 1585 part. But I would like to know the bars going across and which bike rack you have.
how is the drone?
no drone with the plug in. pretty pronounced with the plug out
Thanks for that video! Been looking for pictures of that wheel in 16". They look great! Want to put them on a Meteorite Gray 2023 Civic 2023.
No problem. I think that will look real solid.
Did you ever get them for the meteorite gray civic?? I’m looking to do the exact same thing for my meteorite gray civic, 2023 sport touring hatch. I wanted to get 16 or 17s to get a better ride quality and better road noise. Really curious to see if someone has done it successfully
a lot harder to sell a ski without factory decals. The tackiest decals are the state hull numbering.
can you cut the previous wires to connecTOR and splice these ones in with a butt connector?
I would think so. I don't have any electrical knowledge so I avoid wherever possible. good luck.
