As of Sept 2021, this NTG project seems to be progressing far more efficiently than any of their other grand plans further out (Myilly Point, the new Museum etc), even of each phase seems to take considerably longer than the initial estimates. If I seem skeptical, it's around the question of how a cash-strapped government will deliver the key elements of this plan - the central hub and the Art Gallery. I have no doubt that they will tear up the remaining carpark (next to the Supreme Court) and replace it with greenery - anything beyond that may have to wait for funding from a Federal government grappling with the impact of a pandemic that has bought a large chunk of the economy to a standstill (iron ore notwithstanding).

Dumbest waste of money ever. The simplest and FREE solution to the ever so slight morning and afternoon commuter traffic congestion would be to offer all NT govt staff that work in the CBD the option of working flexible hours. My consultation fee would only beer a pint of beer for that gem of an idea!
