You don't put in the max. Height of the Grand Prix fences i.e. 1.40m or 1.45m ?!! Be more Professional the German/Swiss. shows are.

ah fairplay to all. I was there that Sunday (Sept. '11) watching. GOOD Jumping and Good riding from G.S. I remember G. jumping novices up in Simmonscourt, D.H.S. in the late '80,s always a Good rider. I like Cavan E.C. (2 hrs from me over bad roads!!) it has everything to view the horses and hospitality to match. I enjoyed the 2012 Nov. Int. Grand Prix won by C.O'C. only "two" clears but a walk in the park for C. in the J-off. Also enjoyed the '13 Cavan Int. Grand Prix won by the great Cruising mare Mo Chroi & Capt. Michael Kelly. I missed all '14 and '15 but went to the '16 Sept. show (ok) and '16 Nov. International 1.45m G.P. which I enjoyed more. young Smyth won it and other young riders jumped well. The future of Irish Show Jumping with the young riders, looks "very promising". We have plenty ( 30 to 40 ) GOOD (very good) and top Int. riders included but we don't have 30 or 40 very good (Winning International) horses. The man that can spot a future Winning International Show Jumper is worth his weight in Gold. Breeders need to "do more" choose the Good "Bloodied"/Correct Sire for their Good Mare and hope for the best. The way I look at it is: you have your show jumping Breeders, your Owners, your Riders, and your Talent Spotters (future Champion finders). Some people try to do all four. Stick to one type of job that you are GOOD at and Do it to the Best of your Ability if you want a "Liscalgot (ISH) World Champion (Snr.) & European Team Champion (Snr.)" you also need a bit of "Luck" to bred one and to Win at the Highest level and it's not every Horsey person has that! But keep doing GOOD things and correct things and success will come your way. Slainte!
