I'm a literature teacher who absolutely loved this show (even if I would have tweaked some stuff in season 3 that quite frustrated me when it was finally released...) and I've been looking since the first time I saw these theater scenes (some of the most powerful scenes of the show, like any Jonas/Martha stuff) for the reference of these Martha's monologues. It seems Jantje Friese did write all of this, since it fits perfectly with the end of the series when rewatching it... Kudos to her ! I thought it was from some German play about Ariadne, but I can't find any satisfying clue on the Internet.

Her child was called Krab, and that is the zodiac sign of cancer which corresponds with the summer solstice. Quite curious about how that will play out... I kind of expect a second season and a bigger story that somehow has more reversed time in it.

I love the use of "Labyrinth song" in the show because it posits an alternative to the normal ariadne tale, one where theseus DOESN'T take the thread. One where Theseus DOESN'T leave the maze. Where he becomes the beast he meant to slay. I think this resonates greatly with jonas journey to becoming Adam. He is constantly choosing between taking the thread (help from claudia) or rejecting it (help from adam) for his own virtues. Then he gets given the thread again from ariadne (martha 2.0), pleading for him to follow it. Ultimately he realizes that it doesn't matter if he takes the thread or not, his actions are the cause and ultimate result of themselves because he's forever stuck in the labyrinth of time. he becomes blind to his original self n ambitions and becomes the beast of the labyrinth. Some alternate version of Ariadne exists in this story too, she is usually an accompaniment to theseus but she also enters the labyrinth and becomes her own beast as well, again denying the thread that Jonas 2.0 is offering to her to join him. It gets even weirder when you think about their son and what he could mean to this new mythology version.
