I wonder if the correlation between the ionizing radiation fraction and attenuation is related to gas fragmentation. What I mean is that perhaps low metallicity gas leads to lesser gas fragmentation and hence a stellar population with heavier stars (hence higher ionization fraction and lower Ev), whereas the IMF variations at higher metallicity lead to the production of a lesser number of massive stars (hence lower ionization fraction and higher Ev). I wonder if this could be a possible explanation for the existence of this correlation.

I bet my life that over 75 percent of all intelligent life beings on other planets have NEVER and will NEVER wear sneakers EVER, reguardless of how advance or evolved they are. Over 75 percent of intelligent life civilizations on other planets have never created sneakers, reguardless of how advanced they are. To create sneakers, living beings need rubber, plastic and other things. BTW, why do you assume that all intelligent life civilizations on other planets who are as advanced as we are have television? I would say at least 60 percent of all intelligent life civilixations on other planets that are as advanced as we are don't have television on their planet. Maybe they have different ways to be entertained instead of television (ways we don't have and with different technologies we don't have), maybe they listen to the radio and that's it, etc. It's funny how humans from Earth assume every intelligent life being is like them, like they are the archtype for how an 'intelligent' life being should be. What a bunch of big egoness as I have ever seen. You won't find tv signals out there, but what do i know, i haven't spent the last century finding new ways to NOT find intelligent life beings on other planets.
