This video was very informative, only question is what are you doing with the extra foot of tin on the back? Did you just cut it down to 5 ft or did you tuck it behind the side?
I cut it down with a grinder to 5ft
How many chickens would you recommend could comfortably live in this ?
I would say 8-12 depending on the size
Hello how are you its Kerri love your goats
hello, we are doing well, and thanks for watching

Would this be suitable for states where we get snow and under 0 F or Would this have to be fully enclosed? Thank you so much for your time!
honestly I wouldn't know... temps here in MS typically don't get under teens with the occasional upper single digits
Boss is Absolutely Adorable ❤😊
Oh He's Beautiful ❤😊 I bet your wife will spoil him. 😂 SO HAPPY for yall. 😊❤ GOD Bless yall.😊
thanks, and yes I've already had to warn her not to spoil him because he's a working dog and needs to focus on his job lol
@@thevaughnhomestead LOL 😂

Do you ever have any issues about being too cold in the winter? I’m from the Midwest and honestly just curious and want to give this a go! Thanks for all the information btw.
I have not, but during winter months I add extra bedding in the buckets and baskets...... I also have a new video on my page for installing buckets for nest boxes along the wall off the ground if you want to check it out as well
It would be nice to see you actually do some of the work so we can see technique
@@jourdonleymon3361 I’ll try to do another video on my next build…. I’ve noticed most build videos that are very long don’t get watched much due to being an hour long or longer, so that’s why I tried to have it shorter and try to explain thoroughly each step
It will be a oven on summer
@@jeirypena1155 have not had any problems all summer at all with my chickens, neither have any of the people I have built this coop for
Great job baby, it’s seriously the cutest goat shack! 🐐
Thanks My Love!!!
If youre doing this by yourself, how do you connect the top and the bottom?
Once the make the bottom frame on the ground, attach the legs, then run the top long board from front leg to the back leg on both sides, then just attach the front and back short board and that's the easiest way to do it on your own
Great video with easy to follow directions.
I appreciate the positive feedback
This is one of my favorite coop designs you’ve done so far, great job baby! 👏🏼
Thanks Baby!!!
FANTASTIC. This is by far the best and the simplest I have watched from a host of many. I love it’s simplicity and would forward it to my Joiner to do same for me. I have subscribed to the Channel and hoping to get more out of your Site.
Thanks for the great comment, and please feel free to watch my other videos, hoping to have more coming soon
Nice 👌
These cameras are so cool and the screen is seriously crystal clear! 😳 You did a great job on the editing baby! 😉
Thanks Love
I love those little guys, they make great pets.
He’s such a turd and just wants all the snacks! 😂
I don’t about saying this is my recreational therapy, but it is a good view when I’m working on projects or want to check on them! 😂
Smart wife. Just relax and enjoy it all. GOD bless you all.😊❤
yes she is, I even sat there a little longer after I made the video lol
Thanks for the great video!
no problem thank you for watching and commenting
What temperature did you set it to for chickens? I have this incubator but had a low hatch rate :(
I had mine set at 38 celcius, also I glued the water hole shut and only added water which I directly poured into the incubator around day 18, place incubator in a temperature controlled room that is under 75 degrees, and lay a shirt or towel over it to help insulate......also when you say low hatch rate what do you mean? cause say you have 15 eggs and only 7 hatch but when you candle the other 8 the whole egg glows... that means the eggs that did not hatch were not fertile therefore never had a chance no matter what incubator you have cause there was no sperm in them.... if when you candle around day 18-21 they are dark inside but did not hatch then yes there may in a incubator setting issue
Have you thought of increasing the height of the front by an inch or so and placing a plastic gutter on the back for runoff or collect the rainwater for something else.
at this time I don't have a garden or anything to use the rainwater for, But I have thought about it though
How often do you change out the wood chips.
about every 6 months
Smart idea !
Thank you
Smart. Great idea 😊❤
thanks
chicken soup?
no they are just pets lol
MY MAN THANK YOU! currently building this coup now.... wish I could load pics to comments as I'm 75% on a Sunday having 0% xp
Man that is awesome, yea I wish RUclips allowed the option to comment images.. would love to see how peoples builds turnout, good luck with your chickens
Curious what’s the estimate as to what the materials costed?
Around $350
Kinda small...just put them in a cage at that point
It's a coop and he has bantams which are 1/2 the size of a regular chicken 🤦
Where do you put your boxes for laying?
I don't use laying boxes.... I use baskets, egg crates, or buckets laid on their side and put wood shavings or hay inside
@@thevaughnhomestead thank you!
Yeah buddy. We're going to do this . Lol gtfoh.
Very nice, easily explained, well done. I like the use of the tin on the sides also.
thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment
I really like the 1/2 in. gap at top & bottom of door because wood does swell with moisture & humidity
thanks, and yea my first build I didn't have that much of a gap and the door started sticking so that's when I started doing a bigger gap... always learn from your mistakes lol
@@thevaughnhomestead You're welcome. I learned by having to use a wood shaver on the top of a door just to get it to shut. Lol 😂👍
The way you explain things is so simple and precise... i would listen to you give me step by step directions on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich 😂
@@Luka-lq2qm 😂love the comment that’s hilarious!!! But I do really appreciate the comment and feedback
@thevaughnhomestead seriously man, I'm new to all of this, and most of these videos seem to complicated things just to be complicated. Jokes aside I really do appreciate your videos.
Hi I have used this incubator twinge with low success first time and no success the second time. I have invested in a humidity tester and it says 95% and there is no air hole could this be the reason why I have had little success. Other incubator I have used had good success and had air hole. I have booked the water hole and only added small amount of water
This turned out way better than I expected! 😂 It’s seriously the cutest goat pen and the gate is my favorite! 🐐
yes it did, can't wait to build their pallet shack and post that video
