I’m a lead guitarist and have been playing for almost 60 years. I started listening to country music because of Patty Loveless and Vince Gill. I’ve seen Patty at least six times and met her three times. She is super nice and really down to earth. The girl playing mandolin is Deanie Richardson. She also plays fiddle and is an awesome musician. The girl playing fiddle and backing vocals is Carmella Ramsey. She is an amazing artist in her own right. I met them both outside Patty’s bus and got their autographs. They were so cool, they talked with me and some of the other fans for a while and they were just really fun. The guitarist and vocalist is Jeff White. He has a list of accomplishments a mile long. After a show, Iwas waiting for me wife in an empty hallway and he came walking towards me. I called out his name and said hi. He stopped and we talked for like 15 minutes. He was surprised that I knew his name. We talked about music, playing and his life on the road. I knew a bit about that because I toured on a bus in 1980. Patty Loveless is the real deal. Pure and soulful voice and such a unique style. Real Kentucky girl.
