Does Guyana has a different traffic rules, where are the white lines?🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ and another habit I notice there, drivers don’t respect the traffic lights 🚥 as a passenger in the taxi if you mention it to the driver he argues with you and say no other vehicle is coming so it’s okay for him to go through the red light. The rumor is Guyana is looking forward to promote tourism. No tourist will be interested in visiting a country where they don’t feel safe driving on the roads. Where is eyes and interest of the government of Guyana? Please don’t even think about blaming the opposition party because the present government is in power many, many more years than the opposition.

The drainage system is outdated and should be replaced with modern technology in new infrastructure development. All these drains are breathing mosquitoes and infectious diseases, allowing too much water settling on the ground and causing erosion and soft soil in industrial and residential areas. We cannot transform a plantation into a modern commercial and residential area without changing the drainage system. The current system was designed for large scale farming of sugar and rice.

All of the new roads and highways are showing defects and uneven construction, including unfinished work, yet the roads are opened to traffic with a ceremonial parade by the government.😢😢😢😢😢 mediocrity is unacceptable by any measure.

Development is good, but poorly done works is not good for the long term. All the new “highways” have no turning lanes at the intersections to accommodate the smooth transition of traffic off the highway or unto the highway. Also, no traffic signals at the intersections.
