2016 James River Batteau Festival Haul-Out Time Lapse
Baklava is a pastry. You could put it over your face but most put it in their face. Balaclava is the word you're looking for.
@@DissiDan It’s all Greek to me.
is this launch from pad 39b, correct?
Congratulations Elon…
Excellent video and well explained. Now that has been 7 years, how did the graphite packing work out? Is it still the same ones?
Great video! I wish I could have been there for this one! I have never seen a launch from any beach, only the official viewing areas like the banana creek viewing are at Kennedy Space Center like as I did this past Saturday.
Not the crocs 😂😂😂
One question ! What’s is the size of the prop shaft on your atomic 4 ! Thanks. And is it possible to change the stuffing box rubber boot while in the water
Looks like you had great weather thru the Smokies. Loving the videos without words.
I love how you show the highlights and combine several days in one video.
Awesome! 🌲
Thanks
Great review of your gear. Any idea how much your pack will weigh when you're fully loaded? Best wishes for a safe and satisfying adventure on the AT. Hope to connect with you at NOC in May. Be well my friend!
Great video! This helped me immensely! I have a new to me, 1974 Irwin 28 with an Atomic 4. The stuffing box is leaking and needs some work. Seeing you do this helps with my confidence in doing this myself. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks for the instructions for in this water. I have a 1980 Pearson 28 with a 1” shaft. Pretty good dripping white docked. Yanmar and shaft is new about 200 hours. May be able to just tighten gland nut to stop the flow. If not, I’ll try your method. If too much water is coming in for the bilge pump to keep up, l’ll try some duck seal rolled up to slow it down. (Borrowing the silly putty idea.)
Any good telescope to see or use with iphone?
Ray Romano IS that you.
'71 C27 owner--this is on my list to do, minor leaking only right now. Thanks for posting!
Is that brass pipe? Thought you were going to use galv or black steel? How many layers of wrap did you use? How and how much of the rtv did you apply? And, on all threads? Thx again!
Schedule 80 black iron pipe. Galvanized was a no-go. When the exhaust heats up, a galvanized pipe would emit toxic fumes into the cabin.
Terrific. TY for doing this. I am about to do the same rebuild. Currently the riser is unwrapped galv. Mine however, is a smaller unit and does not appear to be the same dimensions as yours. Are you just using the dimensions from the replacement part? Or, did you find written guidance? I have the M-18, with 3 posts in the flange. Going to watch Part 2 now.
A GOOD TIP IF YOU HAVE TO MUCH WATER COMING IN THE BOAT; Roll up a cigar size with play doh, then roll it with saran rap. Go in the water and stuff it between the shaft and the inlet of the opening. That will slow down the water from coming in the boat.
Did you have to remove the bulkhead to access the exhaust? I have a 1984 Catalina that has a cracked exhaust.
I believe the previous owner made the engine bulkhead openings in both rear quarter berths a little larger. It was still a tight fit to get my arms in there.
I have the 1984 too, and starboard service hatch inside the cabin and port lazzerette seems adequate for me, but I'm only 5'7". Hope it went well
Did you do a video of putting them back together?
We do it because we want You Father God Jesus. Like in the the Tower of Babel. Lived there, Been there, done that and it's all an amazing State. God Bless Playalinda Beach.
nice video. do you recall what launch pad was used?
39A
@@Meyer0656 the 14th july, spaceX will launch from 39B, any recommendations for a good spot ? thx !!
oh nvm it'll be from 39A, does the beach closes in the evening? because the launch is pretty late I think. sorry for all the questions, I'm here for 15 days and I really want to see a SpaceX launch
some people on Google maps are complaining that they close the beach for late launches
@@MrMight8 Space Launch Now forecast says 39A. If a day launch, Playalinda is the spot. At night, either of the two Titusville bridges would be good viewpoints.
Waaaaaay too much screaming. Ruined the launch.
Yeah. Apologies for my failure to instruct the dozens of spectators around me to quiet down.
⚓😎
Very good overall clear and thorough thankyou
On my boat I used wooden paint stirrers (free from home depot) to fill the gap. Wet the area with fiberglass resin, pushed the stirrers in to fill the gap, then once cured, filled in the remaining holes with thickened epoxy.
You can always just loosen the packing nut just to see how much water comes in. Then tighten it back up and you can then prepare for it. Larger boats = more water comes in. 50 foot boat will be a bit of a gusher.
Seagull on the beach was thinking wow so much applase for me taking off
My son Mark aka Pez is in Tepachakaki now. Or whatever it’s called. I think he met you early on.
What’s a animal shake?
very nice man that pie!!!mmmmmmmm!!
Stop shouting
Thank you for the lovely sunrises and sunsets along with the mile markers.
Pro tip : watch series at Flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Nikolai Johan Yea, I have been watching on Flixzone} for since december myself :)
You have a good eye for panorama views that have visual perspective, regardless of distance. Great editing too. And you don't bore us with an unending monologue while hiking. This is what a PCT vlog should be!
Your Mile 182.7 sunset panorama made my day! Thank you for this.
You know what she said... Keep'em comin!
Nice
Fantastic editing and presentation. Subscribed!
That pool!
Thanks for the video. You brought back many memories for me. If you can cowboy camp at Eagle Rock to awaken at sunrise, you won’t regret it!
Thanks for the tip. Will do.
Yessss!
Refreshing change to see trail more than people
'81 C27 owner here. Thank you for sharing this with us.
So you think its ok if i change out my packing on my 27ft in thw water ?
Yeah. There’s just not a lot of water that will come in. Unscrew the packing nut and decide from there. If your bilge pump is working, you should be fine.
@@Meyer0656 ok was raining today ill try this weekend and if i have any questions ill try to get with you and ask its at a moring by my house That's why i asked because i am in the water currently
New owner of a 1978 cat27, glad to find your channel.
I lost my 27 to a hurricane a few years back, so there won’t be any new content, however I do know the boat inside and out, so if you have questions, fire away!
