I would say Pop: yes. Hip hop might be harder, but not impossible. You could make some dope samples or just some more left-field type stuff.

Hello! Is the audio created entirely in the DFAM + Subharmonicon? Or are there other instruments in the background. Thanks for any help you can provide. I just got a DFAM + Mother-32 today and I cannot wait to get stuck in!
I don't think OP replied, but this is just these two instruments. If you wanna go bananas with DFAM, grab you some patch notes. Anton Anru is a great place to start (ruclips.net/video/ILi9DW5jyCc/видео.html). Also, looks like OP is not even patching the DFAM here, so this is just straightforward bass. Enjoy! DFAM is my favorite Moog. Feel free to message if you want more dumb tips :) Edit: watching again and looking at the cables, OP may be using a midi sequencer on the SUBAHARMONICON. Just a guess -- I've only played with one once and cannot remember how the sequencer works.
