how was the food? Did it make you sick? I have read mixed reviews but this places seems magical.
@@jessicaruggieri8671 The food at Playa Viva is so delicious and fresh! Many of the vegetables and herbs are grown right at their own farm. We have definitely never gotten sick at Playa Viva. If you are vegetarian or vegan, there are lots of choices, but plenty for us meat eaters too.

What about the hand washing soap, will it be a problem for the compost ?
Great question. Here is the response from Amanda Harris, Permaculture Manager at Playa Viva - "As the grey water runs into your compost pile it will filter through both organic material and soil. Soap residues will be absorbed in the organic material that makes up your compost and are not expected to negatively affect the fungally dominant compost in the center of your banana circle. All foods harvested from the banana circle will have had enough time to filter and disperse soap residues through soil, roots, plant materials and fibers, and time. Don't think of the collection of organic materials inside the banana circles as your normal compost pile; this version is an in-house nutrient bank for the plants you intend to grow around the perimeter of the circle. Best of luck, let us know how it goes! "
