Since you mention about ATMs in Greece - ATMs have different fees for foreign card holders so I try to find the one that doesnt charge me lowest fees - I use the ATM Fee Saver mobile app - it gives a list of the fee-free or low fee ATMs in Greece along with withdrawal limits for foreign card holders. I've used it many times and saves up on sooo much unnecessary expenses. Of course, decline conversion at foreign ATMs

Greek time: 1-2 hours later than stated, wear non-beach clothes Hawaiian time: 8 hrs later, you remember. Everyone went to the beach instead. You make a note to call and 3 hours later, you're both still at the beach but your boardshorts are still clean so it's fine for the wedding. Everyone meets at one beach and you congratuate yourselves for being only 12 hours late instead of 2 days late like last time. lol

$90 -$100 is *SUPER CHEAP* already, and staying at a hotel (in any country) is supporting the economy and paying workers who need to earn a living. AirBnB's don't pay the same fees that hotels are forced to (in many cases) in the form of taxes. Help Greece's (and every other country) economy keep legitimate businesses open. Or, make sure that the AirBnB has to pay business taxes.
