I’m an avid aircraft enthusiast- I love all things aviation! I worked the flightline at KAEX from 2000 - 2008 with England Jet Center, Pride Flight Services, Million Air Alexandria and finally American Eagle. When I’m not at work ( Flight Line Technician for Signature Flight Support - LIT) of spending time with my wife , family or grandbabies (4 and counting!), I like to come out to the airport and see what’s going on….
Envoy Air 3904 Embraer 170 with service to Dallas (KDFW) pushing back at taking off from AEX 9-7-24.
Envoy Air Embraer 170 as Envoy 3904 pushback and takeoff from Alexandria International Airport (KAEX) for the flight to Dallas(KDFW). This is the first week of regular scheduled service (once daily) using this aircraft type, and is a nice addition to the usual CRJ-700s that normally fly to DFW.
This also a nice boost to flight options here at KAEX, especially since Envoy (Delta) started bringing in a daily CRJ-900 to complement the other CRJ-700 flights they have going to Atlanta (KATL)!

These US Army vehicles participated in training exercises at nearby JRTC - Ft. Johnson, La and are being shipped back to their home base via barges on the Red River 9-3-24. They’re heading downriver, passing between the Gillis Long (Jackson Street) Bridge and the Purple Heart Bridge (US 167) in Alexandria / Pineville, LA.

They fly those out of Beale, and they do touch-and-go landings all over Northern California. Beautiful little jets.

David, I was at the base earlier today in the rental lot to watch a group of T-1's do some pattern work. A little man on a little mower rolled up beside me telling me I can't park in there. I told him I have been doing it for 20 years and he's the first one to ever say anything to me. I didn't know who that guy was, nor did he identify himself. A lawnmower telling someone what to do. I offered to move so he could mow, but he wanted me out. I did the Christian thing and didn't argue. I just left. Irritated. So I don't know where else to go to get a decent view. The England Authority has given spotters ZERO to work with. Who can we talk to?
I really don’t know who to talk to… one of they guys I know who work there said that the security is about to get tighter because AEX is about to be its SITA airport
