Let’s Zoom
Добавлен 13 янв 2023
Hiking with the boys. What started as a COVID-fueled goal to bag the local Wasatch peaks has turned into a peak-bagging, mountaineering, and hike-tastic obsession. Let’s Zoom baby!
Episode 2: Why We Hike & How It Started (The Let's Zoom Podcast)
Sometimes people ask why we like to torture ourselves on the regular and how we came to start in the first place. This episode answers both questions.

Mount Whitney: Summiting the Tallest Mountain in the Lower 48
Просмотров 52016 часов назад
In 2022 we went and summited Mount Whitney on June 7th, and had perfect weather. Sadly, we didn't film it. Even sadder (?) was that my dad wasn't able to hike, one because of his condition but also because we didn't have a slot for him on the permit. So he stayed at our Airbnb and talked with the burros of Beatty, NV, and made us burgers for dinner when we got back. In January of this year, I a...
Mount Ellen Trip: Chasing the Sun
Просмотров 170Месяц назад
Boy what a trip. Starting with Delano Peak and ending with Mount Ellen Peak, we were chasing the sun the whole day. The next day was more of what you can expect from Let's Zoom, finding joy in the national parks and their awesome, albeit at times short trails. We really enjoyed this trip and for all who may be wondering, the state of Florida is NOT known for their pumpkins, no matter what their...

Bruh! Is you the author of the legend "The Demon Within" on All Trails? 😅
👀😬
I had forgotten about that oh my goodness. I is. That was a review from when I was 17…and an unfortunate but true story haha.

I feel like that’s just you talking to yourself but okay🤷♂️
Love scramblesss. I need to climb outside of the tristate area. 🥾🥹 so much funnn
Its awesome. This was up in the Uintas but there’s a ton of good scrambling if you are willing to look hard. What’s your go-to in the TSA?

I went today and it was well defined trail.
@@foodlover2830 that’s crazy bc I went on Monday and it was pretty spotty. There are parts where it’s good but once you get on the ridge it’s pretty gone.
Theres these 2 crazy blue lakes in Colorado that I've seen on other videos. that I think you may like. there called ice lakes and columbine lake in the san juan mountains
We were considering taking the Blue Lake trail to Sneffels, everything we see is intriguing. Your recommendation enforces that haha! Thanks for that.

Looks intimidating!
It looks that way for sure. Depending on your fear of heights and surefootedness, it can be less or more than how it looks. We didn’t really have a problem, the biggest problem was waiting in the line of people for 45 minutes 😅

What time of the year was this and how was snow levels up top? Also are you guys Mormon
This was July 22nd, 2023. No snow besides for the occasional patch until Skinny Lake, the last climb through the couloir looked deathly though. It was very warm and we could tell that the snow was all slush. And yes! Technically we’re members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints :) I’m a service missionary based in Utah.

It was fun! Not too dangerous with an axe and self arrest skills but I think we didn’t do ourselves any favors by climbing higher and running/jumping into it haha.
