Regarding Capella, her view is basically that only that which is beautiful can be loved, she reduces love to its aesthetic value. Her ability to transform herself and other people goes perfectly with this view of hers. Her line about Subaru hating her and then saying she wants to be loved indeed doesn't make sense because it's a mistranslation. She doesn't say that Subaru seeing the flies makes him hate her, she's saying he finds the flies disgusting on a visceral level, making her point about not being able to love what is not beautiful. Archbishops having twisted views or ideas about love is a pattern in the series at this point, you can look at all the other archbishops with that mind (except Gluttony?). Anyway, nice catch on the smears this season, they have been using them a lot more, this season has definitely looked so much better than last season it's not even close, season 2 was plagued with production issues back then.

Hello Daniel, glad you're back! Here in Germany, gun laws are of course stricter than in the US, but I think it can be overemphasized. To own a gun, you need a license, and for a license, you need a good reason: for example, your job (e.g. as a hunter or instructor), sports (in a shooters' association), or protection (for which the requirements are very strict). To carry a gun, you need a different license, though police and soldiers _on duty_ can carry them without one. To carry your own gun, you need both. It's of course more complicated than this, but that's the basic picture. Mr. Bernhardt seems to be a weapons instructor, so I assume he's got a license. Dr. Tenma, however, definitely doesn't :P I love these little vignette episodes! This show has a lot of them, and they can be quite wholesome. I have a fondness for slice-of-life anime, and I always say that Monster is partly a slice-of-life show. Mr. Urasawa is really good at this sort of thing. He has this special way of making you feel for the smallest of side characters. It also makes Monster much more than your regular mystery/crime thriller, a very rich story full of humanity. If we're going to spend the rest of the time looking into the abyss, we need these little flashes of hope as breathers. Btw, "Heckle" is actually correct. "Gießen" you pronounced perfectly! Excited for the final season I really liked the new movie (I saw it on Thursday), it was a lot of fun and the events take place after season 7's traitor arc so there's no spoilers for the final season

Phantom Blood was groundbreaking in the 80s because it had a non-Japanese protagonist. It was also very unique for killing off the protagonist for good.

19:38 Yes the novels are still being written. Season 3 is Arc 5 (and 6) and in the novels we are at the beginning of Arc 9. The author said that re:zero should have 12-13 arcs in total so yeah the anime is not even at half of the story.

The VAs really pop off this episode!!! I saw on X, that Ayaneru (Ochako's va) had to do multiple takes because she's crying so hard and Toga's va got sore throat for days after recording!

I had never interacted with Junji Ito’s work before, however I watched the trailer and I got obsessed so quickly omg, I started googling around for other of his works and I ordered the Uzumaki manga a few days ago. So yes this is the first time I’m getting into this and I have no idea where this is going and I’m so excited to see what happens!

Speaking of the lack of Deku fighting this season, honestly, since Tomura's personality has come to the forefront, all Deku has done is pushed him out of the Sky Coffin and kept him from touching the ground. Before that Deku was mostly fighting the AFO personality until damaging it enough for Tomura's persona to take control.

They ended up covering 5 chapters in this episode, which is insane, one of which is the Todoroki Rising chapter. Shouto's moment running towards his family made me tear up when watching this. Can't believe the seasons almost over since every episode has been peak moments and hasn't slowed down

Iida and Shoto have always been together since the fight with Stain. Since that fight, we've always seen the two of them together with Deku, several scenes of them having lunch at the cafeteria, them going to rescue Bakugo, Iida and Shoto cheering Deku on and giving him food in the Eri arc, them having fun at the festival, them in A vs B, this same season Iida talking to Shoto in his room before the battle and him supporting him after his first round with Dabi. It focuses more on Iida with Shoto. But the two of them along with Deku are the ones who have had the most moments of strong friendship throughout the series. Aside from the fact that on screen the "trio" is Bakugo, Shoto, and Deku. The strongest friendship shown is Iida, Shoto, and Deku.

The Gentle and Nagant in the OP was only added after their reveal episode. Also, Bones fumbled the ep title of this one making it "I Am Here" which is basically All Might's trademark line when it should be "Shoto Todoroki's Rising" since this episode is about Shoto saving his family. Even the jp fans were mad at the title. Yuki Kaji (Shoto's voice actor) even tweeted and said for him, it's Shoto Todoroki's Rising ep. But aside from that this ep is 👌💯

the next episode will be about Toga and Uraraka i just say this and go, keep watching, two more final episodes to go!

Yep! You did call it! The writers have admitted that the ending of this changed several times throughout production. There were versions where one or the other brother made it home alone and versions where neither of them did. Personally, I like darker turns like that, but I think this ending was the appropriate one. This is the only way Wirt's arc could really be closed - if he lost Greg or if he gave up it would have remained unresolved, which CAN work as an ending, but that's hard to pull off. Regarding the turtles, McHale has called them a "flaw in the quilt" - they were added to resolve a plot hole, and then they kept putting them in for fun...but just because HE didn't give them a distinct purpose doesn't mean they can't have one. They're in the show and there are absolutely ways they can be interpreted. For example, the art book refers to Auntie Whispers as a "sin eater"...make of that what you will. There are several comics in addition to the art book too, but while I like all of them (read them every year too) I prefer not to think of them as canon. I like the vagueness of the story and how open to interpretation many things are. This mini-series, for all its flaws, is kinda perfect as-is and adding things can only bog it down. I find it funny that Flapjack is what got recommended after this. I never watched it either, but the creators of Gravity Falls, Adventure Time and this all came from Flapjack....maybe I should? Sorry, sorry, I like to talk a lot and a shorter series like this makes it really easy to do! Bottom line, I really enjoyed your reaction. Part of what I like about the show's vagueness is that I can accept all interpretations. I have my own, but learning others is fun too! And you really do have a knack for streamlining your thoughts into a well-reasoned conclusion. (A skill I lack, obviously. XD) Thank you so much for sharing this! And you are correct. Silco would not have given Jinx up. Just watch the scene again when he's talking to Vander's statue. "is there anything so undoing as a daughter", which means he would would give up his dream of an independent Nation of Zaun for her, which was the same thing Vander did..."oh it all makes sense now, brother"..."all we ever wanted and the boy didn't even haggle", which is also a reference to little man in episode 1. Great writing and a perfect show
