RACING The Summer HEAT // Snoqualmie Mountain and Guye Peak
I recently started getting into ski touring and quickly realized that I'm terminally out of shape. To fix this, I decided to dedicate the next few months towards completing a series of weekly training hikes. I'm tackling the grueling peaks of North Bend, WA - where the trails are short, steep, and to the point - providing perfect training opportunities. Follow along for breathtaking scenery, personal challenges, and progress updates as I prepare for the ski touring season.

I Went Snow Camping With Isabel And Toni // Chinook Pass, WA

I wanted to experience a night camping in the snow with Isabel, but she was concerned about the cold. Hence, I devised the genius idea to do it in the summer, on a beautiful 75-degree weekend. She was amazed to learn that there would even be snow to camp on this time of the year. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest!

It's ALWAYS Sunny Above The Clouds // Splitboarding Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier is one of the best places for late-season backcountry skiing and riding, with its high altitude and year-round snow. I headed up to the Paradise parking lot at 3am on May 23rd for a full day of climbing and riding in the PNW. What started off as a beautiful blue-bird day quickly turned into a whiteout as we descended down into the clouds. Chapters 00:00 - Intro 00:40 - Hiking 04:2...

I headed up to the Paradise parking lot at 3am on May 8th for a full day of climbing and riding fresh spring powder snow in the PNW. Climbing 5000ft in The Desert // Pullman, WA

I wanted to do some training for longer summer trips while I'm still in school, but the biggest mountain within an hour of my college is a staggering 700 feet tall. So I decided to do some laps up and down it to see how much total elevation gain I could get.
Shredding POWDER On Mount Rainier After A HUGE Storm
Просмотров 1804 месяца назад
A recent snowstorm slammed Mount Rainier with over 5 feet of fresh powder, followed by cold temperatures that perfectly preserved the new snow, making for an opportunity that was too good to pass up. I set off from Paradise on a breathtaking splitboard tour up towards Camp Muir to experience the thrill of gliding through untouched powder 10,000ft up in the sky.

Hello again my friend! Getting pretty good at this! ❤❤❤ 👍👍
@@TrailStrider909 thank you, it means a lot!
@@leocurdiOf course my friend!
I was just up there a few days ago with my twin teenage sons... being the 'still in shape' Dad is a lot harder than it looks. Good for you for keeping him young XD
@@tommyc2245 right on man! He puts in a lot of work to make sure he stays healthy and I’m glad we can still do extreme hikes together after all these years
Wow great video my friend! Views with the mist/fog is on point. Nice work!
@@TrailStrider909 thank you!
@@leocurdi Anything for another hiker!
I will never run down old trail. That is impressive!
@@xbalance thanks! I got a lot of reactions from the people heading up haha
Dude... how sketchy was that scramble to the summit? Video never really does the actual view justice & your footage doesn't look too bad, but I saw another video of it and it looked super gnarly. Would you compare it to the Haystack at the top of Mt Si? I'm not a big fan of heights but I can manage if it's not too terrible & your video has peaked my interest on this one. Thanks for the I90 videos btw... just stumbled onto your channel and found 3 more peaks to add to the bucket-list :)
@@tommyc2245 Thank you! I think it’s a little easier than the haystack, but what’s scary is that it’s pretty much a drop off below so if you fall - that’s that. That being said the rock is low angle and there’s plenty of things to hold on to for security. Have fun out there!
Hello my dude! Sweet video Love the fog. Nice work
@@TrailStrider909 thank you!
@@leocurdi ❤️❤️❤️
Have fun and stay safe. Better to hike with a buddy when you can. Don’t forget bear spray when you go out of state in grizzly territory. Cheer!
@@1slyboy Yes sir!! We gotta keep this guy safe!!
Very nice video. The views are awesome. I enjoyed watching it. Thanks for sharing. subd & 👍4
@@KhurshidsChannel thank you!
Big fan as well! Have a good one my dude. ❤❤❤❤
Eddie did a great job keeping up with you. It looks like it would be a bit treacherous on the way back down.
I was terrified for my knees haha
big fan

Muy buen video, lo más lindo es el haber compartido la experiencia con tu padre!! Te felicito.
Gracias, fue bueno caminar juntos después de mucho tiempo
Nice video! Looks like a fun trip! Thanks for the upload ❤❤❤ Keep going!
Thanks! It was a hoot and a holler
@@leocurdi Anytime! Keep uploading!
Hello my friend! love the timelapse Video is good! Keep uploading! Like left and subbed!
Great video! I'm planning to go up in a couple weeks. I've got a couple questions. If you get there early enough, you don't need to have reservations for parking, right? Also, did you have to pay an admission fee to enter?
Yes and yes. The reserved entry starts at 7am every day so you’re good before then. There’s an entrance fee but you can buy an annual pass instead if you plan on visiting multiple times in a year. Have fun!
Hey bro, can you please share the GitHub or code for this project. It's Awesome!
You are a legend
Shred it brother!
So many hikers on the way down.😂
Fr lol! Some were climbing groups looking to summit the next day
a bit too epic 🔥
Amazing dude. I just starting getting the itch to get into backcountry. What are your thoughts on Muir for a newcomer (to backcountry)? Also any thoughts about soloing it?
It's a pretty decent route for a beginner since most of it is not very steep. There's one part going up towards Panorama Point that's a little steeper but the rest is smooth sailing. It's a very long day though lol. I actually did Muir as my first ever backcountry tour several months ago and it was an amazing first experience. Soloing it is pretty chill since there's usually a lot of other people up there but I would try to go with someone who knows how backcountry technique works for your first time. Or watch youtube tutorials and go on an easy hill lol.
Thanks for much for all the tips man, I really appreciate it. Will definitely start with the baby steps and keep it safe. Beyond excited to get into this!
When are we going on a trip!
