So glad these guys are still playing! Havent seen them in years but I knew Kevin moved away. The rhythm guitar and bassist look/sound the same. Many nights at Mexicali with these guys. I cant discern if the tour schedule on the website is current or not but if so I'll be in New Milford next month.

Hearing Michael McDonald's voice for the first time is my favorite concert memory. My wife and I were standing in line outside of the U. of Toledo sports arena on Sunday April 21, 1974, waiting for the doors to open to our first Steely Dan concert. It was so unusually warm that they had all the windows open to cool the place down, so we could hear the band inside doing their soundcheck to the title track from their latest album, "Pretzel Logic." When they got to the song's bridge, and the line "Well I stepped up on the platform / and the man gave me the news," we suddenly heard a voice that we knew wasn't Donald Fagen's. Two hours later when they played the song to a live audience, we could put Michael McDonald's face with that incredible voice we had heard earlier. He was so good on that tour that Becker & Fagen made him the featured backing vocalist on their next album, "Katy Lied."
