Almost perfect! In my book better than the WRC OK not quite so fast as some, but as my old friend Chin used to say "OK you may not be the fastest , but you have more time to enjoy it!"I guess he should have thought of that when he rolled his Manta end over end!

That really does give a good impression of how fast you were pushing. Just wondering- is that a sequential box in it? Gear changes sound really quick. (Thanks- big mini fan. Owned a yellow 1275 saloon, a Mr Bean green 1000 saloon and a white 1000 mini van. Sadly all gone now.)

I heard a story from my Motoring News days ,Mick Briant was coming down through the Forest Of Bowland in an RS2000 when some lights got behind him, he was puzzled and concerned who could catch an RS2000 being driven at that speed , so he pulled over ,and Cyril Bolton went by in his Minisport Mini and then to rub salt in the wound , disapeard! I think you and Cyril must eat the same breakfast cereal OK it may not be the fastest car on the event now ,but it looks the most fun!

I don't like it, I love it .I was going to say not a super car in sight then I realise a Rally Mini is a super car you probably don't need 4wd to enjoy yourself.I was very fortunate to compete against Will Sparrow in the Thor Hammers Mini Clubman, and Cyril Bolton in the Minisport car in Viva and a Chevette which had the internals from HRO885N,mated to a Quaife gearbox it did about 70MPH at 8000RPM in second gear and sounded great ,I remember Ian Collins saying there is a man who enjoys his motor sport after we had caught Will Gollop sadley it or I was never quick enough to catch the Mini,s

is this a good car to use for non-tarmac driving? ... I wonder if the clearance is high enough - there are suspension kits but they all say they are for lowering...is there a way to raise the suspension for a gravel rally?

@jclayworth mini practically invented the idea of the Professional Rally team... look it up

@therealdeal989 i find that the supercharger on R53s is one of the distinguishing factors of the car, it gives it a lot of character being the size of a shoe screaming passed people

why are you putting you're posh voice on martin?

statistically superchargers are a cleaner healthier option than a turbo. although the turbo provides more top end rpm response and a bit more horses, the overall mini hasnt changed from 02-09, more prefference than anything. i actually love my supercharged 02.

I dont like my Supercharged MINI. My turbo R56 S is a much better experience. I just wish there was more Turbo vids.
