SOKOL FANFARE
The Sokol Fanfare was originally composed by Leoš Janáček for a gymnastic festival in Prague. The Sokol movment is a gymnastics organization based on the principle of a strong mind in a sound body. This fanfare was originally composed in 1926 and later became the opening movement of the Sinfonietta for full orchestra.
This virtual performance features 9 trumpet parts performed by David Pittel, 2 Bass Trumpets and 2 Euphoniums performed by Ryan Dragon, and Timpani performed by Damion Frigillana.
