Thanks for the review, I think the G line is a good start for Brompton. I feel that they produced this bike because of the competitors (many competitors already had foldable bikes with disc brakes). The company was lagging behind when it came to the these brakes, comfort. I won’t mention brand names to remain neutral. I hope in the future there will be optimised versions of this model. For now I have decided to stick with my C-line. Wish to upgrade to a disc brake Brompton but for me the lack of integrated lights is for example a dealbreaker. I am not spending time on manually recharging lights for example.

Ordered a C Line electric last week. My goal for this summer is buying a G Line as well. Rides like a dream and then the two bikes fits all my needs for the rest of my life 😊

The steering looks twitchy and the hub seems to be making the slopes hard work. If Brompton offered a cheaper version with narrower tyres, rim brakes and 5 speed derailleur gears I'd definitely consider buying one

Congrats to get your G line so quickly. Thanks for putting effort to making this testing and sharing! I recently climbed that slope several times using a 2 speed C line, its really challenging on the "Sunrise point". I'm also looking forward to getting a G line, most likely I will get a S size as well, but still would like to have a test ride before I decided.

I have a Kuosac headset, to be changed on my Flame lacquer, but I have a titanium seat post, and not a Brooks saddle, but still the standard, which functions. But I have 10 cm wheels and a carbon middle tube extender set.

I’m going for the same look on my B75. So far, black seat post, black mudguards with single black wheel, and black handle bars. Trying to decide on pedals. Maybe MKS Compact EZ, or MKS folding pedal. ??? The black clamps are the finishing touch. Kickstand is handy too!
