Extremely rare Native American art completely intact!
Many caves, if not most, show signs of Native Americans having lived there, and this one is no different. The cave was heavily looted years ago, but some cool items remain! Check them out!

A hidden cave passage leads to thousand year old crystals and ancient bear wallows
Просмотров 5 тыс.12 часов назад
This unassuming cave was originally discovered many years ago, and "rediscovered" by a group less than a year ago. The original explorer didn't have modern technology and the point was 200 feet off. Neither group pushed the passages that lead to ancient crystals, bear wallows and a hidden pit that we're heading back to explore. There is a lot of crawling and a lot of potential in this cool cave...
We discovered an underground river connects these two caves!

This was one of the most rewarding surveys trips because it led to the connection of two caves via a hidden, underground river. No one in the world had a clue this existed!
This cave starts out innocent, but we quickly found pits and a home to hundreds of rats.

We love to survey caves, but a cave full of rat droppings wasn't what we had in mind today. The rat droppings were so bad, you can see me breathing in the dust that was flying up in the video. We crawled over this stuff for over 100 feet of tight winding passage to complete the survey. I Google Bubonic plague as soon as I had service. Thanks for watching!
My friend had to pull me out of this cave we found!

Gravity and a little digging got me in, but I had to have help getting back out. I put both arms over my head
The deeper we went, the colder the water got in this cave.

We visited this amazing cave with 7 drops. The initial rappel was fine, but if we hesitated on the descent, we got wet. The further we got, the more water, and the water was cold! At one point we had to navigate waist deep water to climb flowstone to continue on through the cave. What an awesome cave. I should have been more prepared for my feet being cold. I couldn't feel my toes when I got re...

Kind Thanks for your adventures and Merry Christmas! Just as some good information, I talked to an old man years ago, an adventurer much like yourselves. We’d talked about skunks and encounters I’d had but avoided being sprayed. This ok’d man had not been as fortunate with a skunk in his past but was even far worse was his encounter with a baby vulture. He was hiking on a wooded and Rocky Mountain in Pennsylvania when he accidentally encountered this baby hissing excitedly. The mother was bear by and to protect her young one threw up on the man. He said the skunk was a mild experience compared to the digesting carrion that covered him. So enough said about that encounter. So ever since I’ve been very cautious if encountering a child of the vulture kind. But your rewards and ours in this case, Lovely! Thanks Again and Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
I don't want to freak you out...but you know there was someone following you both through that cave. I could hear on several occasions...voices in the audio.
Andy is with me in part of the video.
It was a female
@@camoplumber Yeah I noticed that too and came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed. There's a faint female voice heard several times throughout the video.
Im glad im not the only one! GOD bless ! BUT Im SERIOUS! @BltchErica Erica, im sure your not the first part of your name. We are purposely and wonderfully made...don't forget! GOD BLESS!!!
Timestamp please
As massive as that cave is i think there is more signatures in other areas that may be strictly native writings alone.
The downfall that you were climbing over, may have markings on the bottom. If you find a Silas Smith, he was big in Northern AL during the 1800s, until he moved to Texas with the Indians.
Cool! I’ll look for his name.:)
Was date notation written differently in 1733? Did they use mm/dd/yyyy back then? I know they would have used the Julian calendar, they didnt switch to the Gregorian calendar until 1752.
I wondered the same thing!
Almost looks like John A Murl with a sideways (m) before 1787. But of course, being there would change everything.
I’ve visited this cave several times and stared at these signatures from different angles. You could be right!
My name’s Walter and everytime you said “Walt” I responded
🤣
I just joined a grotto thanks to you and a few other channels. Never in my 33 yrs of life would I have thought I’d be in love with cave exploring.
Nice Work & Video 👍
Thank you!
I just found your channel and I love it. I am 60 years old and haven't been caving in over 20 years but I do miss it. I was living in north Alabama at the time and we had thousands of caves there. I even still know where a few large pits are that are mostly unexplored. Unlike other channels, you take the time to point out many of the details in caves and discuss them. You are also very careful not to damage formations. It's nice to see a woman caving because I feel like this is one of those areas where women can do it better than men because you can fit into tighter spaces and go deeper into the cave than we can. Watching you also makes me feel like you might have more empathy for the cave than a lot of the men I have seen doing this. I look forward to seeing more of your content.
Thanks! I love caving.I bet you have some great stories.
@adventuringlight My stories wouldn't be as good as yours BUT I did find the oldest cougar bone (a pelvis) ever found sitting on a shelf in a cave where water had dropped it. I donated it to the University and they dated it. Your tolerance for crawling through water in tight spaces FAR exceeds mine. I often wonder how these caves survived earthquakes over the millenia too. Being in Ellison cave during a quake would be creepy. Have you done the 600ft pit yet?
"Which way do we go" is the last thing I wanna hear or say in a cave. 😅
That is a cool cave ! Gotta luv them cave crickets ! 🦗
One half mile? I expect more ambition in mu caving companions.
I cannot enjoy your show lady. You speak too fast, mumble, not loud enough, a little louder than a whisper. I shouldn’t have to turn my tv volume up. The cave is so dirty and confined. Sorry.
Thanks for watching. I will try to be louder in the future.
I thought the opposite. I thought she was articulate and explained things very well with a pleasant voice. Very interesting, and made me want to watch more. Thanks for the content.
Those look and move like a small leach
They do!
With so much water carving out caves like this over many 1000's of years, there must be areas where it eventually all accumulates together somewhere above the mantle maybe, forming underground oceans of unimaginable size in the dark... which kinda gives me the creeps now that I think about it.
I think what makes cave exploration so intriguing is that you never know what you're going to find just beyond the next opening, which in part is what makes it so dangerously unpredictable. It could open up into a vast river cave that goes on for miles, or there could be a muddy slope into a pit that drops straight down several hundred feet. I've seen just about every video the Action Adventure Twins have, in which they maintain a very positive outlook and are lucky enough to have achieved many successful climbs, they do seem to take a lot of unnecessary risks. I'm no expert but I think your most enjoyable exploring will result from knowing you've taken every reasonable precaution in assuring that you'll return home safely. =D
Thank you!
That tree has only been there for what maybe 20 years? That cave has been there? Who knows, a million give or take a million. I just don't see how a short nose bear could fit in there. They're huge
I think because there is evidence of those in the area, he may have assumed that. It could be a wallow from any type of animal.
Go to 12.55 and center right you see the creature with the white eyeball looking at her go look.
Ears pointed up and a snout of a wolf.
Is it a alpine butterfly knot ?
'chapped cave lips' I love it. G V
Some caves can be closed off by landowners to stop the kids from running a chance of getting hurt. Liability issues are a problem in some areas.
This is on public land.
Mommy that might be dangerous be careful😂
Where we differ is when a found cave has something inside I think could be shared with NASA, being an organized associate for the advancement of science, I do not share cave content information that could put speleology at risk from thieves, vandals, etc.
No one knows where this cave is, the name of it or how to get there.
Quite the cave. Does this mean you found virgin passages? Thanks for the adventure. Not a place to be in a rainstorm but I would love to see those muddy crystals all cleaned off too!
Yes! Plenty of virgin passage left.
Why are you whispering? Great video. Those cave millipedes would keep me away, but I love watching the adventure.
There was a bat snoozing in this cave.
YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THE PEACE YOU GET IN THESE CAVES 🙏🙏
I really enjoyed the video. That would be my worst ever thing to do. But beautiful places.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
the warmer spectrum of the light you use is easier on my eyes... who makes that light?
This is a Fenix Lantern. It has a dial that you can adjust to make it warmer or cooler.
@@adventuringlight Old school explorers like myself carry both electric and calcium carbide lamps. Latter affords me warmth,. pleasure in timed exposure of film with that light, and its soot allows me to encode communication for speleology purposes. Like, THIS IS BEING EXPLORED AND HAS NO END IN SIGHT. Seen as a small circle of soot with a dot at the center. It is removed when exploration has ended for cartography purposes.
First and I'm glad somebody's with you at first I thought you were alone that scared me
It’s good to have 3 people, but 2 is better than 1.:)😊
LOL I thought the same thing. I was freaking out at first.
🙂🙂🙂
The narration here and the title are hilarious
Why would anyone do this.
To go where no one has gone before!
Not the time or place to need to go potty 😬
Haha! Definitely not.
Some of the low vein coal workings I get into are very similar to that. Nice shot from the side like that. Gives you the whole perspective.
Is that normal? Greetings from Germany
This time of year, yes.
I would take a deep smell first if smells like bear run but I've seen buzzards in caves
I got to 1:42 before the claustrophobia anxiety took over.
No no no no no no no no no
I wana go in them tunnels! That's got be a blast at times
Looks like a good hodag haunt.😊
Did you know that you can feed too much candy to kids? It is a great way to lose the job as youth pastor!
That’s great you connected the caves, is there more cave to be found? Some really pretty features TY for the adventure.
Lots more caves to be found.
