I wouldnt say it was to steep for that 2024 Rancher, but when you're laying on the skid plate of your 2024 rancher, it might be hard to get your 2024 rancher out of a mud puddle that you think your 2024 rancher should be able to get out. I think you did a good test of your 2024 rancher and i was actually impressed with your 2024 rancher

Why were you always in 2nd gear? I've never had that problem on my 2024 Rancher.

If it’s totally stock and you’ve changed nothing, then you for sure got water in the crankcase doing this. Also probably got in both differentials. You need to check your oil. If it’s milky, you need to change all fluids. The intake for the engine and exhaust are not the only ways for water to get inside the crankcase when the quad is stock. There are vent lines that also have to be sealed up water tight and plumbed up with a snorkel. Putting a stock quad in water deeper than the top side of the bottom end of the engine is begging for water inside everything.

Might want to try 1st gear. Lol

So much wrong with this. But lets talk about the exhaust under water thing that you relentlessly hit on. It does not matter if your exhaust is under water.

If I had a nickel for every time you said “brand new 2024 Honda Rancher” I’d just retire! If I was you I’d equip your machine for the environment you planned to ride in, such as tires, snorkel, and a winch for starters! Taking your machine into unknown water holes like that, you are just playing with borrowed time for the life of your investment. But I’m not you, if you want to destroy your machine on RUclips, I’ll be happy to watch, after all it’s no skin off my ass. Lol

For those water depths even 26 inch tires might not be enough lol but you can try it honda got those tires they go 26x8x12 front and 26x10x12 rear

I liked the stocks better ngl but new set up looks okay

I've got the same one i put 25" kenda bearclaw ex , 12v plug for portable air compressor, 1" wheel spacers to keep from tipping as easy, high lifter rear spring because it's ridiculous how weak the rear spring is, and the 3500 badlands winch. If i was you and had the money the one thing i would try to do would be get around 26" decent tires not some insane tread just some with better than factory and add some height.

That thing will climb way better than what you think it's just that those factory tires are kinda crappy. Airing down helps tremendously with traction.
