Great episode, but I have to say I’m not in alignment with this mixing of social housing with private ownership in that its a positive thing. I don’t believe it is. I get the premise that living with those who own their own home and work etc may uplift those in social housing but it should not be the responsibility of others within an estate or community to lead by example. It should be from the parents and family members otherwise it comes from within not by relying on neighbours. I’d like to add here that I’m not privileged, I’m from the north side of Dublin, lived in Ballymun and a council estate in Kildare. My parents worked hard to break this cycle and I’ve been to university and own my own home partly by my parents attitude but also by my own ambition. I live in an estate where social housing is mixed with private ownership and instead of those in social housing being uplifted its having the opposite effect. They’re exclusively creating social issues within the estate and area ranging from graffiti to theft and drug use. People are paying between 3-500k for houses and depending who your neighbour is could be in social housing causing havoc. I’m not generalising here either. To own your own home these day is a lot of work and dedication and you deserve peace but why should someone who has to work put themselves through college etc be forced to live beside those creating social issues that you work so hard to get out of? That’s my 50 cents anyway. 😅 I’m delighted for James. Both my wife and I have family members that suffered with addiction and it wasn’t a success story, we’ve lost them but they were good people and left a positive legacy behind despite their struggles.

The presenter needs to learn that the podcast isn't about him. When the 2 lads are presenting they let the guests talk and there's a flow. Just as this starts to flow the presenter waffles on pointlessly.
