Hey there! My name is Jayson McGraw. I'm a Graphic Novel artist, but I play a lot of games and occasionally put together videos as well. I don't have much planned for this channel right now, but we'll see if that changes in the future.
Halo Infinite - Ordering marines to follow, hold position, and move to marked location with scripts

Haven't forged this much since the days of Halo 3/Reach/4, the ability to mess around with AI/scripts and essentially make your own campaigns has really drawn me back into it!
Here's a script I've put together that lets you order marines with the marking command, special thanks to SpawnOfTheDeep on Reddit for the solution to carrying out multiple commands from a single action, was really scratching my head at that for a while. Thanks also to all the folks out there making tutorials, Zechariot's videos in particular were quite handy for me getting my initial ropes in forge scripting...

D'oh! A lot of my favourites are unreleased tracks, so i just kinda assumed this one was the same. Probably a good indication that i should really give the full OSTs a listen again rather than just sticking with my favourite tracks, hah. This Raid is underrated imo. The OSTs and even the spawn effect of Crota were cool. Even the weapons and armor (especially the AoT ones) were awesome. It was just the length and the difficulty (and the bugs/cheeses) that defined the "bad" reputation of that Raid amongst the other Raids. If brought back in D2, well reworked and with a little bit more difficulty (without being too frustrating), that would do justice to this Raid...
Well aren't you lucky? I can't speak for the difficulty because it isn't out yet, but the raid itself is good enough for me imo
The primaries were pretty bad except for the pulse in PvP, but swordbreaker was pretty memorable, I remember the machine gun being pretty bad tho. Look forward to seeing you day 1

i bet u can do this without scripts now, with the timer block, but they made 1second the smallest delay darn they should had done the minimal delay 0.5 seconds or something
How does this thing keep balance without tipping? Btw great job
Thank you! Having one leg forward and one behind its center of mass helps it stay balanced while standing, although for walking it uses a Gyroscope for stabilization. The Gyro is set to automatically apply a certain amount of turning force in a specific direction to counteract the direction the vehicle wants to fall towards.
@@Lanthire942 Is it done with the help of the coding?
@@zakharovmedia Not really! just a bunch of timer blocks to get the legs moving for the most part, and the gyro for balancing was set to a fixed amount iirc. Only script involved was one that made the timer blocks trigger much quicker.

How is this coming along?
Been busy with college, haven't had the time to work on it much further, unfortunately. A while back I did make an up-armoured variant inspired by some of the mechs from MechAssault, you can see it in the 'self destruct' video i last uploaded :) The heavier armour seemed to make it walk smoother then this version ever did, which led me to think some of wonkyness of the leg movements was just from it being so lightweight... Never did get that hop out of its step, though I'm still planning to fiddle with it further when I have the time.
Finally fixed the hop in its step! Turned out the issue was that the Right leg was lifting into the air when the Left one was sliding back, causing it to go off-balance just enough to bounce into the air. I adjusted the starting timers so that the right leg doesn't lift until after the left one slides back, was a difference of just 00:00:11 using the advanced timers script. Not only did it eliminate the hop, but now it no longer drifts to the right and is much more stable. Looks like I'll finally be releasing it soon :)

Imagine all the new story driven mods based around mechs. Literally can't wait to start building my own mechs.
