    Excellent, would not of thought using a chain like that. Thinking maybe once a little tension is on it let the bucket weight down on the ground some to stop the tendency to swing out of the chain.

    Great video and it helped me tremendously! I installed a new belt but for some reason I still have slack in it. I checked to make sure correct size and made sure to install belt correctly according to the diagram. Could this be a tension problem some how? My brake seems to have play in it until you push all the way down on it not sure if that has anything to do with it. Im puzzled. Is there some way to adjust tension on the drive belt? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    • @whatsbroketoday
      @whatsbroketoday 28 дней назад

      The belt will be loose when the brake is applied and should tighten up when you let off the brake. I always use the oem belt from cub. I have not had good luck with aftermarket belts. Thanks

    This stihl does not belong to me. I have the HT101 and both saws look very similar. They work real good. The only problem I have is not the fault of the saw. Sometimes I try cutting off a larger limb and as I cut thru it the limb may twist and pinch the blade. I have started cutting them off in sections to reduce the weight if it does twist as the limb comes down. Thanks I hope that makes sense.

    The correct plug is a non resistor type , Autolite 216 is correct , and the only company type i could find . My 8N would not start after running normally the day before , i checked the coil , i cleaned the plugs , 216s , regapped the points to 25 thou . The condenser was the problem , a new one corrected the non starting .

    My truck has aftermarket AC but factory heat. I gotta replace the heater core. You see any reason I need to put the ac evaporator back in. I only need defrost to work.

    • @whatsbroketoday
      @whatsbroketoday 2 месяца назад

      I see no need to put the evaporator back in. With an aftermarket A/C I don't think it will make any difference on defrost. With Factory A/C all the air flows thru the evaporator and only bypasses the heater core when temp is in the cold setting. Nice part for you is a heater core change for you should be easier than a factory A/C truck. Thanks

      I'll have to put a battery in to be sure but seems like I was around 600 hours. I used it in the fall to pick up leaves. The cub did a better job than my craftsman does. I got 2 craftsman riders. A 42" lawn & a 50" garden both are about 25 years old and run great. Thanks

    If you’re using the mower to make money it’s best to have a older VS system like a older craftsman 42inch , these trans don’t last very long or one season of steady service 😢😢😢

    My schematic doesn't show a gasket for my cv20s. Can I use the gasket or do I need to use rtv?

    • @whatsbroketoday
      @whatsbroketoday 2 месяца назад

      In most cases you can use a gasket where rtv was used originally. The concern come in crankshaft end play. A gasket can add up to .020 of end play. For a vertical crankshaft engine I do not feel that is a major issue but researching the recommended end play about and measuring before you disassemble would be a good idea. Thanks.

    • @whatsbroketoday
      @whatsbroketoday 2 месяца назад

      Another FYI when using RTV use a high quality ultra grey or black. A little extra money now will save doing the job again.
