Although MCM also kinda focuses on the quality of the furniture... and I dont know about Ikea stuff on that front🤔 Question: On the Ekenaset, are the legs and armrests of solid wood??? Not just a wood print on glued compressed wood like some Ikea furniture is? Have a full MCM decorated appartment, still looking for a loungechair in that sort of style

Mcm had a completely different basis. It was not colour nor those stupid dwellings you pointed to. The 3 lights are great, they are art deco.not mcm

For next time get "good ome side" plywood that has the knot holes filled, and always prime plywood with proper primer before painting so the glues used in its manufacture dont leach out and discolour the paint.

Great idea! I'd probably use a thicker piece of wood, I think the proportions would work better with the thick balls underneath. Also I'd fill in all the chips in the plywood, it's more work but a completely smooth surface is worth it.

Buy slab wood from a local mill instead of shitty plywood. You’ll have it forever

This is a great idea but why does yours look so unfinished? It still looks nice I guess but I'd definitely straighten up all the loose ends, hang ornaments of you want something to hang down, the branches hanging just make it look messy and unfinished.
