Did you every get complaints at the airport that the 51D backpack is too big to be a carry-on? I like the size I just don't want people forcing me to check in my gear.
I personally haven’t had much problem with the 51D backpack being used as carry on ect! The only issue I had was in Singapore…

In answer to your question they definitely allow it for carry on luggage as I traveled throughout Europe and Asia with this bag as my carry on.
wow great video and great equipment too! Just one question, did you have any problems to have such a big bag in the plane's cabine? and did you have any problems at the airport because of carrying a drone? Thank you dude :)
I had no issues in regards to using this as my carry on luggage but with the drone I checked in it in with my main luggage.
can I carry Nikon 200-500 f5.6 and 24-120 f4 and 50mm f1.8 and Samyang 14mm f2.8 along with a tripod and accessories. Thank you

Not sure it's been asked, and no product sites, including the manufacturer cover it.........what are the 2 vertical zippers underneath the back cover? Are they pockets, and if so, separate, or a single storage compartment? Great review by the way.

In answer to your question in regards to the 2 vertical zippers underneath the back cover they are used for holding a camera tripod horizontally or as an additional single storage compartment. Please note if you are planning to use it as a single storage compartment it will not be able to hold many items. I hope this help answer your question.

I have a similar question. Can you use your bag as a personal bag or a carry on? I usually use my backpacks as a personal bag and my small luggage in the overhead. I would hate to have to check it because its too big?

Bro for love of god how in the hell did u put all that in there? I got mine and im stuck. cant get the drone in there without feeling alot of pressure on the motors from the bag ect. any advice would be great as I spent over 250 on the damn bag and im sopissed i cant even think straighjt.
Hi Jason, Let me reassure you that the bag is designed to hold a lot of camera gear while keeping it safe and secure throughout your travels or camera shoots. Can I start off asking what sort of drone do you have? Where are you planning to travel to and what are are you trying to put into the bag itself? From my personal experience I was able to travel across South East Asia for 3 weeks for work with all my equipment contained within the bag. Please note that if you are traveling overseas do not let your bag go underneath the plane as it could be exposed to getting damaged or mishandled. Yeah, I got a P4a, 2 batteries, remote, iphone 7+, gh5, 12-35mm , nikon 50mm , helios 55, cage, 4-5 batteries, smallhd focus monitor, rode vmp, slr magic vari nd mk2, and couple other random things that are small, the bag is nice and I like it But I kind alike the Think tank bag better I Will try to make it work for the time being.

Yeah it actually came a few days ago, its nice overall plenty of room and the slots are really deep. only downside is the sides a a little more thinner than i expected. i like it alot

Hi Jason, Thank you for your comment. In regards to your question from my recent experience I was able to take my Sony a7ii with two lenses and my Gh4 with two lenses and two battery packs for each camera plus a Phantom 4 and a Tripod on the outside of the bag to a shoot recently. I would not recommend doing it if you are traveling on long trips or overseas. I hope that helps Jason and I look forward to hearing how your experience with the bag went. Is the 51D carry on compliant? I'm thinking of getting the 45D because it will definitely fit in the overheads, but worried it won't fit my RZ67 film camera in it.
I traveled around South East Asia with my 51D and had no issues only on the way home through transit in Singapore. In regards to your RZ67 film camera, I can not see why it will not fit within the bag as I was able to fit my DJI Phantom 4 with all accessories plus camera gear within the bag itself... Nice vid. Have you had any issues with this bag as carry on as its factory sizing is a few cm bigger in all dimensions than listed as max airline sizes. Cheers!
Thank you for your comment. In regards to your question, I have only had one issue with the sizing of the bag being questioned and that was going through transit in Singapore. Other than that, I have been able to take the bag to the following countries with no issues at all regarding the sizing being a few cm bigger in all dimensions than the listed recommended airline carry-on size. - Singapore - Philippines - Turkey - Thailand - Greece - Fiji - Abu Dhabi I hope this helps answer your question, my friend. Hi @JavierVillasuso, When I was traveling recently I was carrying around a 13" MacBook Pro in my Van Guard Altra Sky 51D backpack but the pocket itself has plenty of room. The Van Guard Altra Sky 51D has the ability of carrying both a 15" MacBook Pro and an iPad in the same pocket. I hope this help my friend.
