I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the 5th Annual "Ride Sickle Cell in the Dirt" at the Copiah County Fairgrounds in Hazlehurst, MS. This was presented by Talkin Jay Rodeo Productions. It was a long night BUT a very entertaining one. This was my first time flying around horses so I have to admit I was a little nervous, I didn't want to spook the horses. Or riders. Perhaps if they invite me back, next time I will feel more comfortable getting up closer. If you have a chance to go, it's a good time for the whole family.
