I just picked the 2024 version up as well as their 6 year old wheated. I think they only make the red, white and blue once a year.

Watching this again, 3-years removed. Would love to see a blind comparison between and older bottle of McKenna alongside a newer bottle to see how they compare.

Okay so you said that they're going to release this series once a year for five years. This is the first one of the series for Makers Mark. It's a limited edition bottle but what does that even mean? Right now there are two releases of this bottle so far. One that states April 2024 at 111.7 proof and one that states June 2024 at 112 proof. Do you know if they're releasing every two months or so then until the end of the 2024 year? Or is this release already done with since it's a limited release bottle

I like the fact that you brought food into the video to see if it changed the palate. Bought the Green River Full Proof last week, it may be my top higher proof bourbon right now. Picked up the rye as well and I like it. The regular and wheated bourbon are on sale, may have to pick them up as well.

MY bottle of ETL is the only one I have that is musty tasting.

Beam in the freezer for 6-8 hrs. Then doing shots. Keep warm water available or you get frost bite in the throat. Then again, we submariners did lots of strange stuff with booze.😎

Just MY humble opinion but, I think ten years is about as old as it gets before Starting to taste more like wood than whiskey. There are exceptions but for the most part ten years is about as good as it gets.

I am excited for this! Can't wait to try. You both have great tasting notes!

I'm a big fan of the Bernheim.

We often visit Nashville, Indiana and found Hard Truth a few years ago and fell in love with it! I came home telling my whiskey friends to keep an eye these guys they are an up and comer! Now I visit Nashville to go to Hard Truth!

I went to the HT distillery less than a month ago. Before lunch I did a flight of their ryes which I have always enjoyed. After a nice lunch of great fish and chips, I went back to tasting room for a flight of their bourbons. Again, all were very nice, but to me, the 4-grain bourbon clearly stood out as my favorite of all the whiskeys I tried that day; this was not what I would have predicted.

I have not seen any 7 year old bonded In Louisville but I will look for it
