If an older woman in her early 60 does not want to live alone neither she wants to live with her children n she is healthy enough for assisted living what are some of the options for her as she is not comfortable to be by herself.

I was married for 30 years and it toook many years BEFORE I realized my handsome husband and his very plain mother were narcissistic people who gaslighted, bullied, and tried to beat down and control everyone around them! I was told daily that I was not smart or pretty. I weighed 110 lbs and was 5'2" ...his mother constantly told me I was obese. Her son would tell me I had a HUGE butt, when my measurements were 34-24-36. I enjoyed swimming as a form of exercise but instead of complimenting me, my husband would accuse me of meeting men...there were no men. I was a journalist and won awards and was complimented and treated with respect within my field. My husband would hate that and told me I was "ignoring him"...yet when I planned special times away or a surprise weekend trip...he would be moody or say he had to work. I asked him to go to couples counseling...he said he was fine, it was all me. I had been raised with a verbally abusive father, so I realized the man I thought loved me...was also same cunning, abusive personality. My husband died suddenly in a freak accident...and I greived for him...but after the funeral, numerous women, even his male coworkers and close friends...told me he had been a womanizer thru-out our 30 year marriage. His own mother smugly at his funeral...introduced me to his latest girlfriend...a stripper. I sold MY home and moved to a beach community. His mother DEMANDED that I should stay and move her in with me...I said, no, you have been horrid and I am done with your abusive behavior! She had another son and he put her in a nice nursing home. I now LOVE being single. I am building and living the happy, creative life I tried to have for 30 years.

Totally agree! I’m 66, and live alone for more than 12 years. And I have found out that it’s the happiest time in my life.

No matter what if you're or me is over 60 will never wear pixie cut. Short hsir is a big no no to me
