why not bolt the rack to the platform to stabilize the rack? I’m looking at building the same type of platform with a very similar rack but without the pulley on the back and thought about bolting the rack down but not into the flooring, perhaps using tee nuts to help with stabilization. How stable do you find the rack not being bolted down?

Curious. Why two layers of particle board vs three layers of plywood
Just a tip I learnt from experience, if ur in humid area or it gets heavy rain for long periods, it’s a pain in the ass but worth it- seal all your surfaces including the layers. Soon as mould grows your platform will slowly become a bio hazard and you won’t know until one day you notice mould plumes coming out the bottom when u drop weights on it and pick it up and the entire thing is the last of us. So yeah seal it all up especially particle board it’s super susceptible to humidity

Cool video! Do you ever get close to the sides of the center wood platform when doing deadlifts? I've seen a few videos where they trim the center wood (the nice wood) down to be 3 1/2' wide rather than going for the whole 4'. Thanks!
Can I use 2 MDF board as the base and put the stall mats and additional plywood on top ? So Having total two layers instead of three layers from your video. Will this work ? Thanks
Don't use MDF, either OSB or ply are a much better choice.
Are you having any back or knee issues? The reason I’m asking is because you built your platform on a slant. If you notice your concrete has slope to it for water run off which creates your platform to slope.
This dipshit probably doesn't even realize there a slant.
What is the length of you power rack in width?
Particle board will break. Use a high quality plywood for everything
Yes, if it’s in your budget and available, definitely go for a higher quality plywood. So far, my platform is still intact with regular use. I use the below steps to ensure it lasts a long time. 1) Only bumper plates are allowed. 2) No overheard slamming. 3) Only slamming can be done on the rubber stall mats.

Thank you! Liquid Nails is a strong adhesive typically used for household or construction projects. It binds two objects together like a nail would. In my case, the stall mats looked way cleaner with Liquid Nails. I was concerned with dropping weights on nails and washers.
