Mine came with the IC scanner installed. I purchased the game in December 2022 (built in August 2022). I think at that point all newly built games had IC installed as standard

I've only played a handful of games a premium, so at this point don't have a preference. When I did play the premium, I had a hard time getting the shot up the Death Star ramp, which wasn't fun. But that could just have been that machine. The code on the pro is packed though, so don't feel like I'm missing much.

The sling power was set to factory default (I'm not sure what value that is though sorry as I never adjusted it). The sling switches on the Wick at your local venue could have been adjusted tighter, causing increased sensitivity on the slings (which then increases the chance of draining and shorter game times).

Yeah that missing 9 million points will sting for awhile now that the Wick collaboration has ended and the game has moved on :( I'm already missing it!

Rumor has it that AMD helped Wick with his "impossible task" and as a result ended up with a Blood Oath marker. They were able to use this to call him in for the stream ;)

Yep it's been a lot of fun! AMD (Amusement Machine Distributors) are awesome and do a lot to support the pinball hobby here in Australia.

Yeah it's taking them awhile with the code updates, but does feel like there is a very solid base to work with. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game evolves as it reaches feature complate at 1.0

I'm not sure if there are any scoring differences between the ROM version. But something to look at are the game settings. For example within the operator menu (accessed via the buttons just inside the coin door) you can install different settings. There are presets for Easy, Medium, Hard etc which adjust difficulty of the modes in the game. When I borrowed this game from a friend, the game was on Very Easy. I restored the settings to Medium, which is the factory default. You game may have different settings that were set by a previous owner that adjust the difficulty and impact the gameplay.

rocketcity pinball has a cheap mod for that so the ball goes to the right flipper

Much woop in this episode! Started the night with some solid scores in the first two games before going on to earn a 3.4B game mid stream and a 800M+ towards the end

It was last night! With 6 scores in the 4.2 to 7.1 billion point range across Luke, Han and R2 - it was a solid session :)

There was a change to the rules around Ambush in the 1.40 code update. If no modes are running and you hit the mini loop, it will begin the Ambush "hurry up" - where you have around 6 seconds to shoot a shot that will either enter Ambush or you Escape. Not on purpose. I find they prevent the ball from going up the inline and out though, which is nice when traping up a fast ball. I agree they are neglected a lot - it's a more advanced skill to learn and I suspect most players probably won't use it much, which is a shame.

You're probably referring to the technique of "staging". In games like this where you have both lower and upper flippers - if you press a flipper button about half way in, it will activate the lower flipper only. When you press the flipper button all the way in, it will activate the upper flipper. What this allows you to do is then trap a ball up on the lower flipper (by holding the flipper button half way in), while then being able to use the upper flipper with full presses. It's an advanced technique as you need to be very precise with the press/release of the flipper button so the lower flipper remains active. Hopefully that makes sense :)
